If this doesn't end up looking a fair bit like Questing for Immortality, I will be very VERY surprised. (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/drfe/20080428&pf=true)

I think one of the design philosophies of 4e was to take the most awesome ideas from D&D's history, and the paths to immortality are definitely one of those ideas.

I'm impressed with those new Epic Paths. I'm thinking that 4e Deities & Demigods may include a fourth tier of play beyond Heroic (1-10), Paragon (10-20), and Epic (20-30) -- namely a "Deific" or "Immortal" tier, encompassing levels 30-40. WotC has stated that the Greater God Moradin is challenge level 38. It looks like this aspect of 4e may mesh pretty well with Mystara.

This is among the most impressive changes from 3.5 I've seen, if only because 3.5 had almost zero support for epic play.

I think I'm going to look into converting these into 3.5 PrCs...

As for more tiers, I'd love it: lesser deities (30-40), intermediate deities (40-50), and greater deities (50-60).
