I was wondering if there were any ravenloft-specific prestige classes regarding the Vistani and how their bards might be different.

I am in the process of converting a dual-wielding 15/15 male Vistani fighter/Gypsy from 2nd Edition.

I have already looked into the Dervish, and Tempest PrC's as well as the Scout and Swashbuckler base classes.

Any ideas?

Specifically any classes/feats that emphasized the "Gypsy" flavor, lore and persona of the Half-Vistani?

There are no vistani PrC's, as far as I know. There are a few feats that would be appropriate. Lunatic and Voice of Wrath from the RLCS/RLPH. Portents, Warding Gesture, and Hexbreaker from Van Richten's Arsenal. Tarroka natural from Champions of Darkness.

There were no Half-Vistani specific PrCs from Sword and Srocery, but here are some that may work:

Avenger, for those who seek physical vengeance, rather than a curse for an enemy

Stygian Attendant

Highway Rider, for a Zorro like Corvara

Master of Curses, for a divine caster

I think the fact that they get all sorts of differences from normal humans as racial features seperates them enough to not need specific prestige classes.

Could Vistani really multiclass in 2E ? Do you mean the gypsy kit from Complete Bards HB or the gypsy base class from Domain of Dread?

If you used the gypsy variant rogue class from DoD there's a 3E gypsy base-class in Quoth the Raven 11. Hexblade (from CW) is also quite appropriate for a gypsy, gaining some small spellcasting, and a curse ability. In the Quintessesntial Rogue 2 the multiclass combo rog/brd is called vagabond and is very gypsy-like. Or you could go with a few sorcerer levels and the right spells and of course the appropriate feats (for dagger fighting for example). Quintessential Sorcerer has the Oracle character concept which fits for Gypsy-sorcerers.

The Swashbuckler base class might fit if he's a lightly armoured fighter. Or simply use a Outlaw character concept from Quintessential fighter (gains only light armour proficiency, +2 to Hide, Move Silently, Survival in the appropriate terrain).

Here's an example of a nice non-Ravenloft gypsy-fighter NPC on ENWorld.

3E Ravenoft's NPC Vistani are built with base classes mostly. Sorcerer for women (or cleric in Madame Eva's case), lots of Rogues, Fighters. Some Bards, some Rangers.

Well given that there are lots of PrCs for dwarves, elves, and what not, why not a PrC specilically for Half-Vistani or Calibans?
