After growing weary of trying to convert Assassin's Knot information from 1e to 3.5, I've turned to attempting to stitch together Keoland and Furyondy Gazeteers.

I've found all the basic information from the official sources and I was wondering what further information was out there, particularly relating to LGG adventures. It would be cost-prohibitive (and logistically impossible for the older mods) to get hold of all the LGG mods just for the name of the local innkeeper.

Presumably modules have been set in locations around the two kingdoms and have involved various npcs. Has anybody played adeventures that include this sort of of stuff? I'm thinking the names of local inns, local guilds & guildmasters, local merchants, local priests, minor nobility (e.g. the Earl of Linth, the Earl of Gand, the Count of Marlbridge, the Baron of Westgate, & the Baron of Riverwatch?) etc.

In particular, there seems to be almost no oficial information regarding any of the settlements in Keoland apart from population distribution. Any assistance would be welcome!

Methink you would have better luck on the LG board. People on this board have complained for years about the lack of availability of former LG modules...

I don't play LG but for Furyondy atleast, the official supplement "the Marklands" cover both Furyondy and Nyrond in fairly good detail.

I have all the 'official' stuff (except the Keoland entry in Living Greyhawk Gazeteer 1, which I assumed was the same as the entry on the Wizards website but correct me if I'm wrong). I've also searched Canonfire and have lifted a few points from there. For Keoland in particular, it's surprising how little information there is about the settlements and various rulers of the provinces. For Furyondy it's more a case that there's not a lot post-Marklands to confirm the state of play.

I realise that the triads have a huge amount of work to do so I was hoping that their might be some players or local DMs out there who can remember some information from their adventures. I'll try the Yahoo groups and see how I get on there. I seriously hope that someone was paying attention!

The link provided above is not the same information as the entry in the Living Greyhawk Gazetteer. In fact, it was pretty specifically because of the lack of information on Keoland.

I think by "Living Greyhawk Gazetteer 1," Paul meant the Living Greyhawk Journal #1. As far as I know, the pdf document on the WotC website is exactly the same as that.

For non-canonical stuff, there's the Sheldomar Sourcebook Project and quite a lot of material on Canonfire! including:

http://www.canonfire.com/cfhtml/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=398
http://www.canonfire.com/cfhtml/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=707
http://www.canonfire.com/cfhtml/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=716
http://www.canonfire.com/cfhtml/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=717
http://www.canonfire.com/cfhtml/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=719
http://www.canonfire.com/cfhtml/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=728
http://www.canonfire.com/cfhtml/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=731
http://www.canonfire.com/cfhtml/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=733

Samwise's stuff on Keoland may not be canon, but it's so close to canon that the difference can't be detected by the human eye.

Here's some stuff on Furyondy:
http://www.canonfire.com/cfhtml/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=711
http://www.canonfire.com/cfhtml/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=661
http://www.canonfire.com/cfhtml/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=659

and of course the Living Furyondy triad site.

Thanks - some good stuff there! I'm not overly concerned with canon since my own campaign departed from canon some time ago. I have looked at the Furyondy site before. It has some good stuff but is just a bit behind. The map is still from 585 CY and there is no information on the current state of Furyondian politics, which would be a huge help. My concern is avoiding contradictory information, which is why I'm wary of adopting the Furyondy in 607 CY article from Canonfire at this early stage. It details the death of Belvor in 596 CY, which could be contradicted next year if LG carries on! Unless he's already died, in which case the Furyondian website REALLY needs an update! :D

I have 53 pages of Keoland Gazeteer already, with very limited information on the locations or npcs. I'm wary of putting in too much ancient history to expand that even more but I think that some history of Vecna is definitely needed.

The Sheldomar site looks very promising. I think I need to get in touch with them. My problem is that I lack the time or imagination to make up my own stuff but I am more than willing to collate the stuff that is already out there. I just need help from the players and DMs who are hoarding the information to provide a little bit each. Stat blocks for every town in the Flanaess would be a really cool DMs' tool.

If it's of any use, I've been running a game set in the Verbobonc area, and keep it written up at http://www.ajs.com/ajswiki/Than_Greyhawk

It's under an open license, so if you wish to use any of it verbatim, you can do so within the constraints of the licensing, and I'll always allow people to refer to these events within the context of Greyhawk regardless of licensing.

There's some bits in there about Furyondy as well, including a cousin of Countess Jelleneth Kalinstren in Crockport who was trapped body-and-all in a soul gem during the Greyhawk Wars; a very young blue dragon who defected from Iuz's armies into Furyondy; and the growth of a new cult of destruction dedicated to a demigod named Malhugh.

Thanks! You site is really cool. It's exactly the kind of thing that would be really helpful from the LGG games too. Good effort at adding the village to the Pomarj map too. If I ever get done it's my intention to scan the new maps and add as many villages and missing dungeons as I can; a lot of maps tend to leave entries off to avoid controversy - if you put a location on a map, you have to be able to justify what it is to your players! I'm hoping my gazeteer will address that issue for me! Mind you, have you seen how many settlements there are in LGG Perrenland? And none of them made it onto the new LGG map - what a nightmare.

Thanks again.
