I have a group set in the AOM that is going to go back in time for various reasons. Two are wizards of high sorcery, a red and a white robe. I am looking at the descriptions of hte Towers before the Lost Battles and see that three were favored by one of the orders. Dont all wizards have access to Towers of High Sorcery, and how would a black robe or red robe be treated in say Istar?
I ask for roleplaying sake.

Thanks for the advice.

All are welcome at any of the towers. Some just had more of one order than the others. But any could enter and be safe (just as if it was at Wayreth).

A blackrobe may have problems walking through Istar to get to the Tower

It's the old "we're all equal but some are more than others" deal. Got to love it...

So they would not necessarily be snubbed or looked at differently for being there?

Not by the other mages. The regular folk around there (especially in Istar) are a different matter.

Things are going great. The WOHS in the party were present at the crafting of the dragon orbs and have met Fisty.

I've always agreed that in all Towers, all are fellows. There may be a perception put out for the public that certain towers are more 'in tune' with Red, White, or Black Robes, to be sure. For example, making it look like White Robes are more prominent in Palanthus and Ishtar to make sure the KingPriest/Knights of Solamnia are happy. BUt within the walls of the Tower, I believe all are equal and whatever wizard becomes head of the conclave there (red, white,or black) are all the same as head master.

AS far as Descriptions, buy the TOWER OF HIGH SORCERY book.

The black robe within the Towers would be treated any different then any other wizard, but would probably be adviced by his bretheren to be carefull if he goes into the city

I highly doubt that. It's not like prejudices can just be turned on and off. Not to mention, the Conclave couldn't get alont with each other all the time, I have my doubts about the younger, less wise wizards.

All that said, though, I think they'd at least be cordial with each other. To do otherwise would get you into some serious trouble.

Are there any other campaigns set out there that are before the Cataclysm?
