The Region of Dreams

Since the release of the Expanded Psionics Handbook, much of the 3.5 psionics material coming out (even outside of the eberron campaign setting) links psionics to the region of dreams. I was just wondering how well this psuedo-plane would fit into Athas' cosmology.

I don't think it would be that difficult to incorperate the region of dreams into Athas, though i'm not so sure about bringing along eberron material like the quori and various quori-based psionics and psionic PrCs along for the ride.

thoughts? comments? flames? all are greatly appreciated.

I'd say that you could use dreamscapes and the like fairly easily in Athas. There's no strong precedence for it, but it would fit the psionic flavour pretty well. For a more developed look at the subject, you should also check out Hyperconscious by Bruce Cordell from Malhavoc Press. It's a great book that really fleshes out various aspects of dream from a psionic angle.

I don't believe a literal "realm of dreams" exists on Athas, or should be implemented in any official capacity since no or very little evidence points towards its existence. (I understand this is for your campaign.)

Just like only psionic mindscapes take a life of their own in the Gray, and not ordinary mindscapes, mundane dreams would have no life outside of one's head, but psionic or magical dreams could access the same region of the Gray that's related to psionic mindscapes.
