#1zombiegleemaxDec 06, 2005 2:18:24 | I just wanted to take a minute to thank everyone who posts here on the planescape forum. As a newcomer, I have only been posting for a couple of weeks, but I am so grateful to find a group of people who enjoy this campaign setting as much, if not more, than I do. Though everyone's posts are cool, I just wanted to point out a couple of my favorite planars. Shameska - You rule. A'kin used to be my favorite Archanoloth, but you've brought me to the light... or dark... whichever is appropriate. Ripvanwormer - I've been playing planescape for five years and your posts make me feel like I know nothing of the planes. I love you and hate you. Ygorl - Your Chaos talk had me on the floor laughing. Great writing... or bad writing... whichever, it was awesome. Arntof - You Union Fundie!!! Although I completely and totally disagree with you, I appreciate the fact that you stick to your guns on a sight that wyrms Sigil Bashers! Anyway, I have a couple of questions to all the bloods that make this site so cool. First, is there a Planescape chat anywhere on the web that is populated by well-traveled planars? Second, are there any online planescape games that are formated more like forums than MUDs. I'd love to do a planescape MUD, but the truth is I just don't have the time. But I could do a game that was formatted more like a post forum. Third, Shameska and Ripvanwormer, I notice that under your login name there is the title Uncon Prizewinner. What does that mean? Well, thanks again. I will keep reading all the posts. |
#2ripvanwormerDec 06, 2005 10:26:42 | The "uncon prizewinner" thing means that once a year there's a series of competitions, chats, and so forth grouped together as "UnCon" - it's like a game convention, except you don't have to leave your chair and you don't puke all over anyone at an ENWorld party. Shemeska and I have both won competitions, which include such esoteric arts as demiplane design, fiction writing, lower planar site design, and other things. Everyone who wins anything gets "UnCon Winner" beneath their image. Shemmy and I also won custom avatars. Thank you for your kind words. Ygorl would thank you as well, but that wouldn't be entropic. |

#4zombiegleemaxDec 06, 2005 20:12:58 | When does Uncon happen and how does it all work? |
#5ripvanwormerDec 06, 2005 20:45:52 | It was just a few months ago. In the Planescape forum, we had this contest. Here is Shemeska's prize-winning entry to one of the demiplane design contests (the one in 2004) on the Deities & the Planes board. Here is an archive of the entries on Planewalker.com. 2005 Demiplane Design Contest 2004 Demiplane Design Contest 2005 Pantheon Design Contest 2005 Lower Planar Locales Contest |

Stoly = good. Too much Stoly at the ENworld party = bad. *giggle* |
