What happens if a shadow wizard, necromancer, or cleric tries to memorize their daily spells (which involves the summoning of energy from another plane, either the Black, Gray or an elemental plane, respectively) while within the area of a Dimensional Lock spell?

The SRD has this to say about Dimensional Lock:

You create a shimmering emerald barrier that completely blocks extradimensional travel. Forms of movement barred include astral projection, blink, dimension door, ethereal jaunt, etherealness, gate, maze, plane shift, shadow walk, teleport, and similar spell-like or psionic abilities. Once dimensional lock is in place, extradimensional travel into or out of the area is not possible.
A dimensional lock does not interfere with the movement of creatures already in ethereal or astral form when the spell is cast, nor does it block extradimensional perception or attack forms. Also, the spell does not prevent summoned creatures from disappearing at the end of a summoning spell.

I think the SRD sums it up nicely, I'll requote:

I'd rule that it doesn't interfere, in the slightest, with the ability to get energy from extradimensional sources, any more than it would ffect extradimensional perception or attack forms -- because basically, taking energy from those planes, almost is an attack form (stealing the very essence of that plane). The Shadow Wizard & Necromant don't actually travel through the planes to get the energy, they are drawing it to them. It could be considered summoning, but it's really not the same thing, any more than channeling the life-energy of plants is summoning for "normal" arcane spellcasters.

I agree with Xlorep, dimensional lock would not affect spellcasting.

...this is one of those cases where I read the spell desc the first time, noticed the "attack form" part, got distracted by something else, and from then on out every time I looked at/re-read it again I totally spaced out that same part. The primary reason for my question came from the idea that extraplanar attacks *were* affected, so the whole thing is kinda moot anyway.

Thanks for the replies.
