I am new at dming, so i was wondering if anyone could give me suggestions on events people to encounter, and battles for a first level dragonlance campaign. I am looking for any and all suggestions.

Well, although not new to DM'ing I am in the process of writing up a new campaing and being as I have new players, as allways, I find it best for both new DM's and Players alike to start with a classic low level dungeon crawl. As a player it's a great introduction for the D&D game system and as a new DM, like yourself, it's a good way of putting into practice all those rules and guidelines without swamping yourself in unnecessary, well, rules and guidelines.

Start it simple and make it fun, big names and characters from the DL world need not make any kind of appearance at the begining of your campaign, as allways save the best for last. ;) Doesn't matter if you wing a few bits and pieces to start as it's all a learning process. As your confidence gains as DM so will your game in depth and story and give you room to bring out the big guns; but also remember that even the most hardcore of DM's and players still need advice and help, which is why I, like many, come here.

Happy gaming.

The two dragonlance modules that are out now, Key of Destiny and Spectre of Sorrows are good places to begin.

well i plan on having my game in the age of mortals setting, post war of the souls. i am in the process of reading the wizards conclave, then the lake of death. These 2 books should be able to help me out with some of the plot i will have.
