It says in the timeline in WotL and Campaign Setting books that Raistlin and Taz travels through time, right? Raistlin uses the dragon orb during while the Perechon is sinking in the Blood Sea to "advance in the future" or something like that.

My questions are:

1) Raistlin really used the orb to travel? Was it a time travel at all, or i just misunderstood?
2) It states that Taz uses a time travel device. Where did he got it? How does it look like? A friend of mine says that Paladine gave it to him, but where the god found (made) it?
3) Raistlin and Caramon travel to ancient Istar to confront the Dark Queen. How do they get there? With the same device that Taz uses?

1-raist uses the orb to teleport to the library of palanthas. he doesn't use it to travel time.
2-Tas gets the time travel device by stealing it from caramon, who is given it by Par Salian when they travel back in time during Legends.
3-Huh? This is completely wrong information. You should read the Legends trilogy, which answers all of your questions.

1- hum, ok. i guess i read it all wrong...

2- and where Par Salian got it? he made it?

3- from the Dragonlance Campaign Setting: "356 AC - Master of Past and Present: Raistlin Majere and his twin brother, Caramon, journey into the past, accompanied by the Revered Daughter of Paladine, Crysania, and the kender, Tasselhoff Burrfoot. They reach the corrupted Istar, intent upon changing history and challenging the Dark Queen..."

So...?

It's an ancient magical artifact. it was made a very long time ago.

The entire legends trilogy deals with that part. Basically, they end up jumping back and forth through time, with the net result of coming back in 356 to challenge the dark queen in the present time, not in the past. The result is that raistlin dies, kitiara dies, crysania becomes the head of the good clerics, and the dark queen is locked out of krynn.

I'll second Tal's suggestion - if you're interested in time travel in Dragonlance, the Legends trilogy is the primary source. Give it a read - it's some of the best DL fiction out there.

You also might also want to check out the brand-new Legends of the Twins sourcebook, which is both a good source of gaming material and a pretty handy setting digest in its own right, even for non-gamers.

Thank you both for the info.

Its jsut that im finishing my campaign, and I was thinking about a flavour for the last game, so I would need some background about time traveling in kryn.

Again, thanks...
