One interesting idea I hade was to start a thread dedicated to the complete series of books. Basically we go through the complete Adventurer,Arcane, Divine,Warrior and create a resource (maybe stickied) of what we think is allowed in Athas. We could have lists of feats, spells, prcs etc that are considered "official". Note that we don't post what the feats etc actually do just their names. Also included new templar spell lists etc.

Good idea/stupid?

For my own campaigns, I put together a doc giving notes on converting the prestige classes from the DMG, XPH and Complete X series to the DS setting. I posted it to the boards a while back, but as the search functions is apparently gone forever, I have no idea what the actual thread was. If there is enough interest, I'll post it again - it's not official or anything, but there might be some ideas there that folks could use.

This sounds like a good idea actually.

I've been looking for a reason to go through all of the books again.

Post away Kam!

I've already done this, actually. I went through all the books I have and wrote down all the PrCs I figured would be allowed. I also wrote down all the feats I would allow. I haven't yet done spells and powers, though. All the core classes I re-wrote a lot of the abilities and class descriptions. The idea is to eventually finish this for all PrCs, too. A lot of stuff gets tweaked and even more is likely to just get axed because while "cool," doesn't exactly serve any real purpose. You'll notice I didn't just go and assume all the athas.org PrCs would be good. Anyway, here's my list. Includes short description and original source material, except for the allowed core classes: the only wacky ones are defiler and preserver (my own write-ups using a spell point system which i recently revised to make more streamlined), bard (athas.org version), cleric (athas.org one), gladiator (athas.org one), marshal (miniatures handbook), noble (a mix of star wars rpg and dragonlance: think the dragonlance one, but with the bonus feats of the swrpg one), scout (lightly modified from compelte adventurer), and templar (athas.org).

Cool. I'll stick them in another thread because this is like the 3rd time that I have posted it and it'll be easier to find again later if it has its own thread.

Judging from previous discussions, it seems people will never agree on the totality of class fits. It's very subjective, and I don't think it is appropriate that athas.org makes such an official list. Though, keep the unofficial lists coming!

I agree with this, however, I don't think it'd be too much to ask for to have an official list of PrC adjustments/varifications for those listed as OGC - ie, those from the DMG and XPH (something along the lines of what we've done with the assassin).

I think it would be a very good idea for Athas.org to adjust some of the the classes. I find that a lot of Dragon Magazine Classes and Feats are way too over powered. They have good concepts but are too over powered, and a lot of the classes and Feats were written in 3.0 wich can be very unbalanced when you go to 3.5 rules.
