Xephs are a new PC race included in the v3.5 Expanded Psionics Handbook. Their background mentions "their lands lie far to the east, contained within a great rift that hides a broad valley permanently plunged into darkness, except for several psionically-illuminated forests."

I'm preparing a campaign set in the world of Greyhawk, and a player has asked to play a Xeph. Is there any info on where Xephs fit into the world of Greyhawk? I can always houserule it but wondered if there was any official info. Their chief deity is Fharlanghn, which suggests some kind of Greyhawk connection.

I've cross-posted this at ENWorld, Canonfire and WotC so apologies if you frequent all these places and see it more than once.

Thanks

Feel free to contribute your thoughts and ideas. I'd like to keep that thread alive, actually.

Here's another one about psionics in Greyhawk in general, not just races.

Thanks for the links. Seems there's no official answer. I think I'll leave it the responsibility of my player to make up his character background.
