#1radkinsJan 25, 2006 19:34:16 | in my current campaign, my players have showed some interest in going to the hinterlands. my question is, what are some good plot hooks, encounters, and locations in the hinterlands? im thinking of having the players work for a trading company to find new resources. all other imput is more than welcome. |
#2xlorepdarkhelm_dupJan 25, 2006 20:12:56 | Well, I've never really developed anything there, but there's the Chak'Sa (giant stone Kreen head thing), the Dragon's Crown Mountains, the Pterran villages, the Great Rift... |
#3PennarinJan 25, 2006 20:40:40 | ...tons of ruins too. The place is a gaint steppe, so imagine that it once boasted steppe-inhabiting Rebirth races like wemics, maybe trolls. |
#4GrummoreJan 26, 2006 12:06:51 | You can find information in Thri-Kreen of Athas (2ed). And if I remember well, there is an adventure at the end of the supplement. There is some information about the hinterlands. Look at my web page and get the "Pterrans of the Hinterlands" projects. It's old, but can give you some insight and flavour about the Pterrans. |

#7zombiegleemaxJan 30, 2006 12:14:01 | Yes, they did, but I'm assuming he meant this to facilitate ideas on appropriate ruins and such. Right... Read it incorrectly, my bad. |
#8PennarinJan 30, 2006 21:38:42 | Yes, squidfur divined my obscure meaning correctly. What tea leaves did you use? Earl Grey? |
#9kalthandrixJan 31, 2006 6:53:11 | You know that all teas basically come from the same plant- the potency and color come with how much the leaves are allowed to oxidize before getting hit with a little blast of heat to seal them back up- of course tea makers then add other things to it (like zest from lemons and oranges) but the basic tea leaf is all the same. :D |
#10megatherionJan 31, 2006 6:54:27 | But the subtle differences in the teas affect the Brownian Motion used to divine the meanings of posts! |
