Applauses to the Planewalker team! Well done. I didn't read the whole thing yet, but I can easily see some of those spells making an appearance in my campaign.

I don't use the new 3e way to handle enhanced/impeded magic in my own games, even if they're 3.5. I think it's too shallow. I just adapt the old Planescape magic alterations by school, along with spell and power keys. So I'm glad that system was at least mentioned as an alternative rule in the chapter, even if it seems like there won't be so much official support for it.

I mean, 2e also had enhanced/impeded magic, but if you look at the original A DM's Guide to the Planes chart it's easy to see that represented the minority of the alterations spells suffered on different planes. The core of the system was really the individualized quirky alterations schools suffered on each plane. Which is much more fun and creative in my opinion.

I also really like the addition of wild magic and true names as it was. I'm glad someone else can understand the fact that you shouldn't need yet another prestige class every time you want to implement a new power system in the game.

All in all, good work! Can't wait for more.
