a drawing representation of how i see a Neogi. In my playing Universe, the Neogi are not only ruthless raiders, opportunistic slavers, and unscrupulos traders, but they are also dispassionate bankers. Bankers, imho, are worst than the former three occupations combined. :D

Pretty cool drawing; I like it! Btw, do you neogi bankers work like 3 hours a day, 2 days a week like bankers in the real world?

bankers and creditors can be slavers of an economic persuasion, much more insidious.

Nightdruid,

how do i summit artwork to the spelljammer.org site? Loki told me he would give me the info but i guess he forgot. I rather submit the art directly (email) than at the site.

Send it directly to Static (static "at" gmail "dot" com...masked to prevent bots from picking it up) and he'll set you up

great artwork! and i really like the idea of neogi being the heads of evil banking guilds, too- in my own games i use illithid in much the same way.

Oops sorrry i forgot to submit the art. I''ve been busy drawing RL people and the fantasy creatures took a back seat. Soon soon, i'll submit, after i do a full body Neogi. Just trying to think a way to draw a wolf spider.

ok. although i'll submit the first neogi as it is, the lionfish like horns on its head will be remove on future drawings. I don't like it anymore.

This is a water variant Neogi. Basic Neogi with the aquatic or amphibious templates. These Neogis trade with Liquid Space's, Waterworlds' , and Plane of Water's civilizations. They also are very advance in Spelljamming Cephalopod bioships. Other than Neogi, which creatures does the community thinks need some artwork the most? Witchlight Marauder, Krajen, Giffs?

This is just an arm. Trying to see how they would move.

This Neogi, i don't know. Maybe it's just another spacial variant, a outer plane one, a newborn or a old master.

I'm a writer and not an artist so as far as I'm concerned any new art is good for the setting.

Yea, i see there is a lack of SJ Art.
Since i' only started getting into DnD last fall, i pretty much new to SJ.
The way i see it, if we want to make this SJ appealing, we have to get forget the "setting", and sell "Wildspace" as an envionment serie type (ala Frostburn, Sandstorm, Stormwrack).

No more Krynnsphre, or any other setting sphre. In fact, converting 2e materials isn't just enough, SJ need like a whole new guide system of fantasy for creating space travel, stellar civilizations, ships, etc....

edit: sorry if my pics screw up your browsers, people.

In intriguing interpretation...

There's an 'almost' prehistoric feel to these neogi -- perhaps enough of which to hint at their "ancient" origins.
