#1rath_the_rangerMar 13, 2006 9:51:59 | Slight Amber & Iron spoilers ahead....... Well, I've finally found time time start Amber & Iron; the new house and baby keep me pretty busy and I don't seem to have as much time to read anymore. Anyway, as I was reading last night, I came to the part where they are going to set a trap for one of the Beloved in Solace. How surprised was I that it was a guard named Cam. I laughed when I read the name, but then was really surprised when the guy had red hair and freckles. Don't know if this was a coincidence or if our long time buddy Cam finally got the esteemed honor of a guest appearance in a DL book (and not just any book, but one by Ms. Weis herself), but in my mind it's the latter and a well-deserved Congrats to Cam. I was totally excited when my favorite character name, Rath, appeared (by complete coincidence of course) in the Kingpriest trilogy; so you must be quite ecstatic, Cam. |
#2cam_banksMar 13, 2006 9:55:05 | Yeah, that's me. Or an evil version of me. I'm not sure what that says about me, but there you go. Cheers, Cam |
#3brimstoneMar 13, 2006 16:03:52 | Yeah, that's me. Or an evil version of me. I'm not sure what that says about me, but there you go. If he's the evil version of you, does that mean he's clean shaven? :D Margaret's notorious for adding folks to books. Well, I say notorious...but I can only think of a few examples, most of which were in Draconian Measures where Granak made his debut and Rohan...the quartermaster!?! heh heh Wasn't there a troll in one of her books from the AFDL, too? |
#4rath_the_rangerMar 14, 2006 11:28:28 | See, now I thought the troll was you. HAHAHAHA :evillaugh |
#5rath_the_rangerMar 14, 2006 11:31:20 | Yeah, that's me. Or an evil version of me. I'm not sure what that says about me, but there you go. Very cool, I haven't gotten any further yet, but I'm sure you're not going to last much longer (at least I hope not HAHAHA just kidding). Again, congrats & very cool!!!! |
#6DragonhelmMar 14, 2006 12:57:56 | Rohan...the quartermaster!?! heh heh That's appropriate. I think Rohan always talked about having guns. :D What's funny is that some people now think that Weldon got the Granak name from Margaret, when it was just the opposite. Wasn't there a troll in one of her books from the AFDL, too? I believe she had a troll named after Morten Brattbakk. |
#7GranakrsMar 14, 2006 19:06:58 | Hrmmm. i think Bratbakk, or some derivation of the name was in Draconian measures as another draconians. that was the trollish person on the forums was draconian named Yakonah. As for Cam, he clearly deserved the cameo role. Cam's been an excellent example of a solid fan/designer dragonlance and the modules. He's certainly been a better example than I am. Weldon |

#9illeveun_bloodblazeMar 19, 2006 22:44:35 | Oh yeah. Yeah, he does have nothing to worry about, as per the beloved thing.. I'm not going to reaveal anything more, as I don't want to spoil the fun in reading the book |
#10brimstoneMar 20, 2006 15:44:43 | See, now I thought the troll was you. HAHAHAHA Ha ha de ha...punk. |
#11rath_the_rangerMar 21, 2006 8:28:36 | Ha ha de ha...punk. I said it was with all the love I could. LOL |
#12alakarMar 23, 2006 9:58:10 | WARNING..... THIS IS A SORTA BUT NOT SPOILER................ I would just like to say that in the Key of Destiny module my name appears in there (Alakar), as well as my real name (Micah). Coincidence? I think not.... Just kidding, I just noticed that they were both in the module and thought I would bring that to light. |
#13rath_the_rangerMar 28, 2006 8:08:44 | HAHAHAHA, what greatness, I make an appearance in the book too. I'm none other than Revered Brother of Mishakal Patrick <-- my real name LOLOL. I know, I know, just coincidence, but it was funny considering the thread. And, yes, I'm very slow in progressing through the book, I have very little time to read these days. |
