Im sure the official timeline posted on Wizards site and across the web is wrong.
It states that the Dragon Crown adventure (dealing with The Order) was in the Free Year of 6. However i believe it was in year 10 (but i don't have a copy of Beyond the Prism Pentad to confirm).
As i recall, during the adventure there is an earthquake that causes the rift in the west (thus allowing the thri-kreen to arrive) and the timeline states an earthquake creates The Rift in the year 10. So this contradicts having The Orders play for power in year 6.

Has anybody got Beyond the Prism Pentad to hand to check this

The earthquake that created the Rift came from the battle with Rajaat in free year 10.

actually the earthquake happened at the same time, and we don't know whether or not they are related. nothing says either way.

I think the timeline is correct. The thri-kreen in Dragon Crown did not come from the Kreen empire. The first box set had said that the Hinterland was filled with tribes of thri-kreen. Those in the adventure are just native to the Hinterlands and did not come up the great rift from the kreen empire.
And there is no earthquake in the adventure. The Great Earthquake happens in FY 10 and causes the large rift.

ok, first off the timeline says:
-Mountain's Fury (Free Year 4)
The ancient artifact the Psionatrix is activated by the Order, a powerful
organization of psionic purists, nullifying psionics across the Tablelands
and causing thri-kreen to be driven into an insane frenzy.
The avangion Korgunard is slain while trying to convince members of the
Order to deactivate the Psionatrix. One of the members, a halfling named
Pakk, consumes the avangion's remains.
Deep within the recesses of the Dragon's Crown, the Psionatrix is
deactivated and several members of the Order are slain. The remains of the
artifact mysteriously disappear.

secondly, you are correct that the earthquake that opens the rift to the west is in FY 10. However, there is no such earthquake in the Dragon Crown adv.

there are two possibilities, that i can think of, that may explain your confusion.
first - there is indeed a chasm, and this chasm is the gathering point for several (thousands?) of the mantis warriors that have gone into frenzy. The chasm, however, is known as the Circle, and serves as a thri-kreen burial site - something quite different then the rift leading to the Kreen Empire.

secondly - there is also monument of sorts, depicting the giant head of a kreen not too far from the Circle. This monument appears in Dragon Crown, as well as the adventure A Taste of Fear - which describes the events surrounding the earthquake and the subsequent opening of the rift. It may just be a simple case of mixing up these two adventure encounters.
