Okay- I have a few things I would like to chat about in regards to the Tyrian Conspiracy adventure that I just finished running.

Let me start by saying that overall I really liked this adventure and had fun running it. That being said, I think that there are several areas that could use fixing in the adventure to make it better.

1) My biggest thing was the fact that my group of PCs mowed through almost the whole pack of thri-kreen without breaking a sweat. Now my group is comprised of and their main weapons are -

Baranus- dwarven sun cleric 7/ psion (egoist) 2 - Sun Lord's Gift; obsidian dagger +2 keen, flaming.
Dakken- human fighter 8/ weapon master 1 - Stonecutter; obsidian greatsword +1, bane vs constructs (least form without additional parts)
Alak- mul gladiator 6/ psychic warrior 2 - Twin Edge; steel heartpick +2, heartseeking
Durvalya- elven rogue 5/ ranger 3 - Composit Elven Great Bow +1 [+3 Str]

By the time that round 5 came around, this group had killed all but a hand full of the kreen and hand only been hit a few times. Now Dakken was a real killing machine, because he had Whirlwind Attack that allowed him to basically kill anything within the reach of his weapon.

Now, IMO if I were to run this encounter again, I would have increaaed the thri-kreen's HD by at least 1 or 2. I would have also spent the time to stat out the pack leader and gave him a level or two on top of what the rest had.

Now as for the characters fight with Lord Vardon- well...for starters the Lords powers are kind of weak and some of them should be swapped out. As the PCs close with Vardon's group, he encircled his group with an energy wall to block Durvalya's line f sight (he had scored a crit on Nadar's mul bodyguard and almost killed him with that and one other arrow). when the PCs got closer, he hit them with a concussion blast and and then the next round mindwiped Baranus. His metapsionic feats were about worthless and if the powers were change a bit they would be more useful IMO.

Has anyone else ran this adventure and had simular issues with things like this.

I haven't run it yet (my PCs are an average of 4th level), but I'll keep your ideas in mind when I do run it, thanks, Kalthandrix.

I think they started this adventure when they were like 6th level or something- I had to thow in a few additional stops and hitched in the plot due to not having a full groups a few times and running a the group as solos for a part of it where they were attampting to get out of Urik.

The reason they had to sneak out of Urik is due to them tangeling with the defiler that Nadar was hiring- not the defiler in the adventure, but a recurring villian in my game called Sinoro. The fight that started in the inn led to the death of one PC in the batte and two others due to DM Slaying (the palyers left- one of the two I DM Slayed was the one who lost his primary PC- they did not even try and ask about raising him). So the remaining members of the group had to sneak out of the city and also met up with a few others who later became members of the group who finished the adventure.

Yes, because God forbid I should express any happiness or confidence in my character...

Thanks for taking me down a notch.
