Anyone working on Athasian Substitution levels?

Or have any ideas for some that I can steal to make my own.

Even the standard races in Dark Sun seem off kilter enough to require different sub levels then they normally would use, let alone the more Dark Sun specific races.

Jack

EDITED: My personal group includes a Mul Druid, Half-Giant Rogue, and a Thri-kreen Ranger, if anyone has ideas along those lines.

I've tentively been working on some, but nothing substantial to show though. However, If your looking for something different to add your campaign I suggest using the racial paragons I created located under my signature.

Those look pretty well balanced, unfortunately the paragon levels are not particularly well thought of in my crew, as they suffer most of the same problems as multiclassing (particularly for casters).

Thanks for the ideas though

What you really want to do is introduce my Keeper of the Guarded Land PrC to your mul druid player! He would rule then! Just check my signature

Yah I've looked at it before, I think you pimped it to me when I asked for suggestions about some alternative to Elemental Wildshape

Its nice, very flavorful and druidy, but unfortunately the Druid in question is highly nomadic (hell on the sheet he's listsed as a Desert Nomad rather then a druid) so it not really in his line.

Jack, the only athasian substitiution levels that I can remember are the ones I have done for the slave-warrior, which I also did as a PrC. See the link in my sign. I agree that many DS roles could be filled using substitution levels.

Call them racial variant levels (or something to that effect) and you should be in the clear.

Well since they're for personal use I'll just call 'em house rules and anyone who gripes can go stuff themselves :D

Has anyone checked out the variant method for playing races with a 1+ ECL in Complete Psionic. It basically allowed the races found in XPH to be played as 1st level characters, but at predetermined levels they would have to take a level in their race and gain some of their races special abilities. Its a mix between subsitution levels and the rules in Savage Species.

Interesting stuff.
