With us, the DS boards, now on top of the other "Other Roleplaying Worlds", brings me back to the time when someone posted that we were number 2. Back then, a few months ago, we were IIRC 5000 posts behind Dragonlance. Today, although barely on top of them....

WE RULE!!

I commented and would like to clarify that we have the most posts, but still are far behind in number of threads. In other words we have more posts per thread.

An observation is that our threads do have a tendency to derail - as most forum threads do after a certain number of posts. One hypothesis would be that the Dragonlance boards (to take an example) are better at starting new threads when a thread seems to derail. Perhaps something we should strive for?

Why is the descriptive text for Dragonlance complete even though its long, and ours is incomplete? Check here, you'll see its cut short in mid-sentence...

I disagree- I think our threads have a better feedback rate then the other boards- I have been over to the DL boards and there is a lot of stupid going on over there sometimes. (IMO)

i would have to agree with the theory of great feedback because back before i discovered this campaign setting i was an eberron junky, and i get better feedback here and that's a very active forum

The reason that DL discussions are down is that many people have migrated over to DragonlanceForums.com, the boards for DL.com and the Dragonlance Nexus.

Stop by and check it out sometime.

You know I was not dissing you Dragonhelm- but there are A LOT of dumb kids haunting the DL boards who should read the books before they start running around asking questions and making obserd observations.

I hit the Nexus myself about once a week and own 4 or 5 of the DL RP books and almost all the novels.

One thing I find extremely weird, though. That my DM owns all the DL novels (I think) and has read them all twice, one in 2 days which is extremely unnatural (considering the man can fast-read more than 2000-3000 words a minute). Plus a few of our gaming friends have read them too, BUT we have only played one group for one evening...that's a weird fact I think

Kal- you are talking about people whom have not researched the novels on the DL boards, i have to admit that i have not read any of the DL novels, i haven't gotten the chance, plain and simple. All i have done is get any material i can get my paws on and read it like a mad man. I have asked some "stupid questions" depending on whom is reviewing my posts, maybe i'm obserd, but i've read quite a bit of published information on the campaign setting. I would say that i am pretty knowledgable NOW...key word...but...lol. i don't know it just seems like there is something that i've gotta fess up to...but hey, if i can get educated on something that i don't know, i'm learning...but, i have read some of those posts and HOLY CRAP, not even mine are that bad...but yeah...

Oh how I have dreamed for this day :D Now I want to see us pass them in threads too lol, only then will I truely be happy! :D

Darksun is the best! May we continue to show it for years to come, through the communities efforts to keeping the campaign up to date, and through our friendly and welcoming community attitude :D
