I've been trying to track down all the source material on Vaprak, "The Destroyer." Below is a list of the sources I have located. If anyone can add to this list, please do so:

Deities & Demigods (1e); 198x. (1)
Greyhawk Ruins; 1990.
Monster Mythology; 1992.
Forgotten Realms: Giantcraft; 1995.
Planescape: On Hallowed Ground; 1996.
Defenders of the Faith; 2000.
Complete Divine; May 2004.

Dungeon Magazine Issue #6 (2)

Forgotten Realms Comic Books (3)
Issue #1: The Hand of Vaprak! Part 1: The Ogre's Paw (1989)
Issue #2: The Hand of Vaprak! Part 2: Convenging Lives (1989)
Issue #3: The Hand of Vaprak! Part 3: The Great Game (1989)
Issue #4: The Hand of Vaprak! Part 4: Fools Rush In (1989)

NOTE (1): I don't have access to this book, therefore I have no idea when it was published. The real issue, for me, is that I can't read it to see what it has to say about Vaprak. If anyone can help me out, please do.

NOTE (2): Supposedly, Vaprak is mentioned on pages 27-29 of this issue. Again, I don't have access to it, so if you can help out, I'd be most grateful.

NOTE (3): If you have access to these comics, please let me know if there is anything useful in them about Vaprak.

Deities & Demigods was first printed in 1980 and, in 1983, reprinted as Legends & Lore (minus the Cthulhu & Elric mythos). You can easily get it here:
http://www.rpgnow.com/product_info.php?products_id=1040&

Not too many details about Vaprak. He is in the Monstrous Deities section but the text isn't very inspiring.

You get almost the same info (only presented a bit better) in the (2e) accessory Monster Mythology you listed.

NOTE (3): If you have access to these comics, please let me know if there is anything useful in them about Vaprak.

Well, you get the see adventurers deal with an artifact named the Hand of Vaprak (doh!). The second of the 4-parts issue explains the legend behind the artifact, that of the grandmother of the trolls and the child of the ogres.

It also introduces the main adversary, Gornak the Ogre Mage.

Finally, it reveals who created the artifact. Hint: an old & powerful human wizard of the Dalelands *cough*

Given I own only the second part, I confess I don't know how the story ends (except the heroes survived given the series continue beyond those issues). Canon-lore? Doubtful. It was written by Jeff Grubb though, so it does feel like FR's adventure. And the heroes did make it into canon products later, so...

Methink you would have better luck asking about this on the FR board.

Vaprak also gets a reference in the Ecology of the Troll article in Dragon #301 IIRC.

There are also references to Vaprak in WGR1 (Greyhawk Ruins) on pages: 2, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19, 22, 24, 33, and 35, according to JZ's index.

Thanks. I was unaware of this.

I guess I should also say that I am aware that the Shackled City AP that Dungeon Magazine ran has a reference to Vaprak in one of the adventures... I left it off the list for some reason.

Dragon #85: Special skills, special thrills
Dragon #93: Ay pronunseeAYshun gyd
Dragon #247: Rogues Gallery

The Hollow World boxed set detailed Jammudaru, who is Mystara's version of Vaprak (sometimes called by that name).
