On the desert, dying world of Athas, an escaped gladiator finds a source of precious water...but guarded by giant ants! Will he defeat them, or will they eat him?

I made this with Vue Infinite, Poser and DAZ models. Bene itching to do some Dark Sun art again and a challenge on a Vue forum prompted me ;)

I can't recall if Athas' moon is ringed? But meh, who's perfect? :>

I think the gladiator looks decently "mul"-ish. His weapon is bronze.
Hope you all like

Damn it, now I've got to get Vue. I use Lightwave and do my own models, but Vue will certainly help me do more work with environments.

And I'm no expert, but I think Athas has two moons one red, one green.

But really nice work.

Thanks guys

Harkle, Lightwave8 is currently bundled WITH vue....and includes free upgrade to LW( when released...
I have that but been too ill etc to learn LW been sticking mostly to Vue. Vue is buggy and slower etc than LW, but...it CAN do amazing things.
For that Image, I used a trick that I was the first to come up with, hehe.
In Vue Infinite you can export a sky as an HDR...best way is a UV sphere 3000 or more pixels in size for clarity. Then in Vue, go to Atmosphere-->Atmosphere Editor, click Environment Mapping, Environment map, load your HDR, let it auto setup.
BINGO! instant HDR of your scene for light/sky. Works a treat, muahha.

Put up some HDR skies on Renderosity as a package for sale using that technique ;)
