#1nivek_kpkMay 17, 2006 7:07:14 | I'm sure this has been done before and it might seem trivial, but if a movie was to be made from the Prism Pentant Series, who would play who. I thought that Vin Disel would suit Rilkus well, although he'd have to trim up a bit and Steve Buchemi for Tithian |
#2jon_oracle_of_athasMay 17, 2006 8:21:07 | This has been done four or five times at least. Dig a little in the archives and you shall find that you´re not the first to suggest Vin for that role. The fact that he is a roleplayer doesn´t make him a less likely candidate either. |
#3terminus_vortexaMay 17, 2006 10:31:41 | Rebecca Romijn for Sadira. :D |
#4korvarMay 17, 2006 12:23:24 | Angelina Jolie as... well... ah, who cares. Just so long as she's there... |
#5nivek_kpkMay 17, 2006 12:32:16 | I said Steve Buchmi because he's kinda weasily...but I can't think of a better choice. |
#6kalthandrixMay 17, 2006 12:53:33 | Neil Patrick Harris would make a great Tithian IMO. I know he is really only known for doing comedy and stuff- but I think he wold be great as a bad guy! |
#7nivek_kpkMay 17, 2006 13:04:19 | You want Doogie Howser to be the king...that's too funny.. on a serious note, I see where your coming from |
#8radnoviusMay 17, 2006 13:28:21 | Vin Disel? Just because his head is already shaven is no reason to cast him as Rikus. A gladiator fights in the arena for an audience. Who could be better than the Rock to play Rikus? Angelina Jolie as Sadira would be good. As for Tithian, maybe John Travolta. He does evil well. |

Actually, for Tithian, you'd maybe want someone charismatic, who can look the part of being a benificant leader, but on the inside is evil. Travolta might be able to do that, but he's not played many good guys recently... |
#10nivek_kpkMay 17, 2006 15:00:37 | I suggested Vin Disel for Rikus because both of them seem like meatheads (I'm currently re-reading the Pentant after almost 10 yearrs) |
#11kalthandrixMay 17, 2006 15:42:06 | Actually, for Tithian, you'd maybe want someone charismatic, who can look the part of being a benificant leader, but on the inside is evil. #12hunterccMay 17, 2006 16:16:52 | I would pick a stick figure first! I think Joaquin Phoenix would be perfect for Tithian |
#13zombiegleemaxMay 17, 2006 16:37:01 | Max von Sydow -> Kalak Angelina Jolie -> Neeva Joaquin Phoenix -> Agies Vin Diesel -> Rikus Neil Patrick Harris -> Tithian Rebecca Romijn ->Sadira Keep the rock away from Rikus, he'll do that dambed eyebrow thing |
#14pringlesMay 17, 2006 16:59:57 | Ian Mckellan - Kalak |
#15elonarcMay 18, 2006 5:54:26 | Max von Sydow -> Kalak Great idea for Kalak! But I have to admit that I like The Rock...but I like wrestling, so who am I to ask. |
#16nivek_kpkMay 18, 2006 8:44:07 | see, I think the choice for Kalak while excellent is too old |
#17gilliard_derosanMay 18, 2006 8:44:21 | Keep the rock away from Rikus, he'll do that dambed eyebrow thing "Can you SMELL what the Rikus is cookin'?" |
#18zombiegleemaxMay 18, 2006 9:56:50 | see, I think the choice for Kalak while excellent is too old Too old?... May be its just the way I invisioned him but I saw someone that looked like a stiff breaze would have broken him due to his age and frailty... all an illusion of cource but non the less. I always saw an old man... Then there was the ilistrations in the Freedom flip book. |
#19terminus_vortexaMay 18, 2006 11:12:48 | Keep the rock away from Rikus, he'll do that dambed eyebrow thing Can't do the People's Eyebrow without eyebrows! :D |
#20kalthandrixMay 18, 2006 11:51:03 | Tru dat! |
#21zombiegleemaxMay 18, 2006 13:20:14 | Rebecca Romijn for Sadira. :D YES YES YES You rock TV |

#23daelen_greymoonMay 19, 2006 20:42:49 | Vin is actually very intelligent, more than his characters would lead you to believe. I always thought of muls in general (and Rickus specifically) as being more thick in the neck. Agis - Ioan Gruffudd (Mr Fantastic, Lancelot) Which makes me think Jessica Alba would look good as Sadira, of course, you would probably want someone who can ACT as well as look good. I think Romijn-Stamos and Jolie are both a little older than I would cast Sadira. She always struck me as younger. Maybe it is the idealism and selfishness, bad choices, etc. I'd go with Keira Knightly for Sadira. For Neeva older is ok, but you gotta have muscles. Something Brigitte Nielson-esque, or Linda Hamilton from T2 would work. I can't think of anyone off the top of my head. Both Romijn and Jolie are too cute to do Neeva, I think. You need someone rougher. I do not agree with Steve Bucshemi for Tithian, though I do understand why you chose him. You need a more...hidden...smarminess. You know, Cary Elwes was wonderful as a smarmy villain in Ella Enchanted. Take away some of the fairy-tale-ness and he would do Tithian well, I think. I did agree with the choices for Kalak, but I also agree with them being too old. He is old, but he is also riddled with magic, and he was NOT some wus before the transformation. (He killed all the ogres for crying out loud!) Someone older, but strong, and able to do subtle acting (No Schwartzenegger) I vote for Viggo Mortenson. Agis- Ioan Grufudd Sadira- Kiera Knightly Tithian- Cary Elwes Kalak- Viggo Mortenson |
#24jon_oracle_of_athasMay 20, 2006 4:32:08 | A couple of new suggestions: Kalak - Jeremy Irons Agis - Christian Bale |
#25terminus_vortexaMay 20, 2006 14:36:40 | Kalak should be played by whoever played Palpatine in Star Wars. |
#26darksoulmanMay 20, 2006 16:08:17 | Kalak should be played by whoever played Palpatine in Star Wars. = Ian Mcdiarmid - excellent choice! |
#27squidfur-May 20, 2006 17:38:06 | ok, so gotta point out why I chose who I did, on a couple :D ... For Agis - Ron Moss is an actor on the soap opera they play on my lunch hour at work, and, quite frankly, this guy IS Agis. Check out the pic... http://www.indiaglitz.com/channels/hindi/gallery/m/Events/holly_starron081105/67713.html ...you can even see the longer part of his hair in the back is brown, in comparison to the grey streak up front...just like Agis - hee hee...and compare the pic to the cover of the Obsidian Oracle, and...DANG!!! For Rikus - Nathan Jones is the freakishly buff, and bald, guy who plays Riku....uhh I mean Boagrius in the movie Troy. He's the one that has to fight Brad Pitt's character in one on one combat - in front of a large crowd :D - at the beginning of the movie, and launches into combat by throwing the Heartwoo....uhh I mean a huge javelin/spear-like weapon. Abalach-Re - Marcia Cross...plays a **** to the "t" and looks evil and inhuman to boot...check out the pic http://www.hicelebs.com/gallery/marcia_cross/141.html hmm, maybe more to come...wanna find the pics first |
#28kalthandrixMay 20, 2006 20:12:48 | I have to agree with your three picks that you had there squidfur- that dude IS Agis. I say we all pool our money- I got about $5 US, and we get this freaken thing rolling!!! |
#29jon_oracle_of_athasMay 22, 2006 6:10:44 | = Ian Mcdiarmid - excellent choice! I considered Ian, but he just doesn't look evil at all. |
#30kalthandrixMay 22, 2006 8:12:55 | I considered Ian, but he just doesn't look evil at all. I have to agree |
