#1havardJun 15, 2006 10:52:22 | Looking at the Art Gallery for Hordes of the Abyss, http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ag/20060605a , the following images should be of interest: Demogorgon: ![]() Orcus: ![]() Ranivorous (Yeenoghu) ![]() The Realm of Orcus (Thanatos) ![]() The Realm of Demogorgon (Abyssm) ![]() The Realm of Ranivorous ![]() Håvard |

#4HuginJun 19, 2006 22:37:36 | Nice list of planes! Thanks for the pics too. I can't believe that I had not pictured Demogorgon before. I mean, I'm positive that I read about him in WotI before but the image didn't click in my head until now! |
#5twin_campaignsJun 19, 2006 23:49:43 | Has anyone made any work concerning the "location" of the various planes? I mean, if a mage uses Contact Outer Plane? |

#7havardJun 20, 2006 7:29:51 | IIRC there was an illustration of him/her in the Immortals set. Yes, there was indeed an illustration of Demogorgon and Orcus in the Gold Box Immortals Set. Demogorgon's head looked more Gorilla-ish there than the Chimpanzee look he seems to have been given in 3E. Håvard |
#8ripvanwormerJun 20, 2006 18:21:55 | the Chimpanzee look Those are actually mandrill heads. The Immortals Set version does make him make him more apelike; the current 3e version is based on the AD&D version, where his heads were explicitly mandrills or baboons. |

In the case of Immortals, it doesn't really bother me that there are some contradictions in descriptions/illustrations. Altering their appearance doesnt really take much of an effort from these guys does it? ![]() Håvard |
