Hey all,

Just wanted to announce that I've taken up a project to build a Cyberboard game box for the War Machine scenario in Module X10, which will allow online PBeM play of the War of the Master. Progress is going well - I've got the X10 base hex map built, all counters entered, and just need to add rivers, plateau edges, country borders and coastlines.

Here's a screenshot of part of the board, as of present build status:

The Master's army begins its invasion of Darokin, striking around both north and south shores of Lake Amsorak to threaten Akorros. Outnumbered Darokin forces dig in, prepared to fight for every foot of ground, while to the south the Atruaghin tribes watch the invasion carefully, prepared to go to war if their borders are violated...

The final Cyberboard box will probably be a few hundred KB in size, and remote hosting will be welcome. Anyone interested in assisting with such an endeavor, feel free to drop me a line. Thanks!

This looks sooooo cool! I'm running a campaign with the Master as the main antagonist right now so I can see how it might be very helpful.

That said, the War Gamer in me is very happy. I think I would enjoy playing that (if life would just let me!). Be sure to keep us apprised of your progress.

That is sweeeeet!!!!

I know this adds a lot of work, but could this be expanded one day to include the Darokin map from the Gazeteer series? Or the updated maps online?

Stunning work!

This will include the counters that are missing from the PDF file as well, so will be doubly welcome. :D

NPC Dave:

The current intent for the system is to reproduce the original, 24-mile hex map from module X10, with no changes save for using GAZ-style hex symbols in place of the X10 map artwork. That said, it's Cyberboard, so anyone who's interested can likely open up the gamebox and redo the map as desired.

Dave L: Yep, all counters. ^_^ I'm not sure whether to set up the Allied Expeditionary Force counters as BR-free, as per the original X10 material, try to put together some BR ratings for better War Machine play (as the module suggestion to use Battlesystem never was that smart, IMHO, and really doesn't work over PBeM), or both at once. Hmmm...

All: Coastline work is proving obnoxious, so I may just upload the current 'mostly functional' setup in the next day or so and tinker with it as time permits, or let others do so. I'll post later with a file location. Ja ne!
