Considering PWA and the SpellJammer Monstrous Compendium, I was considering if there could be some link between Pyrithians and Lakshus.
Pyrithians are a war-like very aggressive people from an asteroid cluster, I suppose in Mystaraspace. They are green skinned and silver haired.
Lakshu are a race of female parthenogenetic warriors (amazons?), green haired.

Ok, in humans green is not a so common color, isn't it? And we have 2 space-borns human subspecies, both warlike... there could be a link... but what?

Don't forget that the members of the Federation (Benekander included) are green skinned.
It might be a forced adaptation for space-life, a means to produce its own oxygen for the rest of the body through green chlorophyl photosynthesis.

IIRC, the lakshu are a servant race of the enigmatic, chaotic, narcissist reigar. Who are rumored to be spacefarers because they destroyed their own homeworld in the name of Art. And quite likely genengineered the lakshu to be their ideal servants.

Not *absolutely* sure there's a connection, but the reigar and lakshu sure are fun to play with.

You remember correctly. Reigar genetically engeneered lakshus, so they are now both perfect reigar-servants and a fine work of art (reigars couldn't do somethink not artistic).
Reigars destroied their homeworld, and tha Pyrithian Archipelago is an asteroid cluster, much like debrils remained after a palnetary explosion...
Emerondians are master life-shapers, breeding their own insect subtypes and tree facilities... maybe they know some magical process involving genetical alteration! Learned it from reigars?

Since lakshus are a masterpiece work of art, I'm thinking that Mystaraspace lakshus of my Mystara are not only green haired, but green skinned. Green skin being an artistic alteration.

They actually only appear green-skinned under the light of the Mystaran sun, according to DA2 and DA3, which is kind of strange. Easier to just assume that they are green-skinned, I suppose, rather than bother with explaining the strange sort of optical trick that would cause that.

Also, in their original appearance (in Dragon #166) it is stated that the Emerondian's green skin comes from the use of vegetable dyes (doesn't say whether ingested or applied), rather than being natural. They seem to have simply become considered to be naturally green-skinned in later references, though, as the dye part is never mentioned again.

I think under red light, green would look brownish. So maybe they think of themselves as brown-skinned on some alien red-sunned world where the color green doesn't exist.

But if they're green under full-spectrum lighting, they're as green as anything else on Mystara.

Assuming, of course, that the standard visible-light spectrum featured on Mystara really IS 'full-spectrum lighting'. Maybe the Federation homeworld features a special light wavelength of Not Green. :D
