Jul 18, 2006 17:11:22 I may have mispelled it, but I need some help for a transposition I'm planning for me game. I need the stats for a fly demon or fiend as I am planning on a transposition ala The Fly but don't know where to find a fly looking fiend. Help is greatly appreciated here. Thank you.

Jul 22, 2006 14:23:01 If you want something more humanoid, I'd suggest a broken one. Those are kind of weak, but you could pump it up with some class levels or templates.

Jul 24, 2006 18:40:23 Well, that would work too, but the idea was using a transposition to create the desired effect. As I don't yet owe a Fiend Codex I, could someone clearify if the chasme is a fly or a mosquito? The picture makes it looks like a mosquito.

Jul 25, 2006 6:42:26 Well, I'm guessing that it is meant to be a fly, despite its ability to sting and draw blood with its nose. At least it was so back in 2E, when depictions of Chasme gave them more humanoid facial features as well.

Just declare that chasme demons IYC might look like all different kinds of flies -- some like houseflies, some like mosquitos, some like horseflies, etc -- with the one depicted in the 3E products merely being on the scrawny/mosquito-ish end of the spectrum.
