I know that Sword and Sorcery are no longer going to publishing Ravenloft. So my question is what happens to all of that 3.0/3.5 material? Is/Can Wizards build on it or do all start all over with new books? I really don't want ot learn a new madness system. I read the one that Wizards has out there, it doesn't work for me. Has anyone heard anything?

Wizards also have Ravenloft publications listed as Dungeons and Dragons (for their world). So are they going to make it its own world (like Faerun and Eborron) or are they just another Dungeons and Dragons book?

Ok, Ravenloft as always belonged to TSR (and by WotC when TSR died), so this mean WotC can do what ever they like with Ravenloft. They can kill it, they can revive it, they can sell it, it's up to them... sadly...

So, has you may understand of that, Ravenloft IS a part of Dungeons & Dragons. This is all I can tell you, since I'm no WotC employe and, speaking french as my first language, don't understand fully the rest of you sentences.

Hope I helped you!

Yes, I understand all about who owns Ravenloft.
I just wanted to know if anyone had any official word on it's future. I also wanted to know if anyone has heard anything what is happening about all of the S&S publications; are they now noncannon?

You didn't really answer my question but thanks for trying.

Cannon and noncannon are really only what you make of them. Somebody once put it to me that cannon is Archie likes Betty AND Veronica. In other words, how you see it if your own personal cannon. As far as how your old S&S RL books will fit with WotC's idea of Ravenloft, only the WotC employees know for sure.

The official answer is that nothing has been announced yet, i.e. there are no new books on Ravenloft planned by WotC (except the 3e Expedition to CR and the novels reprint).

That can mean Ravenloft won't see another book again, that can mean they wait to see the success of Expedition to CR, ... that can mean any scenarios you might think of.

Meanwhile, until further notice by WotC, haruplue has a good way to see things.
