How might the Order deal with Avangions who increase in manifester levels and take epic manifestiong?

I think that is exactly what was portrayed in several modules in 2nd edition. They are split on wether they should consider them on the par of noble psionic beasts as they balance out against the dragons.... or that they are an abomination, one that "taints" psionics with arcane magic, that needs to be killed.... as the one in the module was.

I agree with seker- though I think that after the events in the Dragon Crown, the Order would not make any moves against an Avangion for a while yet due to the damage the rogue-psionicists casued to their numbers.

I have the bones of an Epic PrC for the Order - I think I is pretty cool, but it needs some work yet to make it good enough to post. I will have to get cracking on it again so you all can see it soon!

Dragon's Crown adventure aside, the Order's primary responsibility is over purely psionic entities; if you mix in magic or anything else supernatural they no longer care, as you're no longer on the path to "psionic purity." If that wasn't the case there are a lot of entities/creatures they'd be going after, both natural and unnatural. As the others' said, standard Order dogma would likely lump them into the same category as the S-K's and Dragon - they're "outside their expertise" as it were, a force of psionic power that due to magical influence is not something they need to concern themselves with. There's definitely no psionic purity with an Avangion any more than there is with a Dragon, so it stands to reason.
