Quote from Primemover0003:
" don't forget some prominant Sects, like the Order of the Planes-militant, the Ring Givers (Jeremo the Natterer, the Lady's Jester is a golden lord and a "factor" of the RG's), the Daughters of Light(?)... Even other planar organizations want to carve up the Cage, especially Estevan the Ogre Mage Trade Lord of the Planar Trade Consortium , Shemeshka the Marauder's network, Zadara the Titan of the Merkhants."

Exuse me, long time reader of these forums, first time poster. I was reading your threads on the faction war, and one of you mentionned something I never heard from before. I'm pretty well versed in general Planescape lore ( meaning I could run a campaign, I have the boxed set, I played as a player in a campaign, etc). But I never read the novels or ran the faction war or anything ( neither did I buy any adventure modules). But I read the general layout of that cataclysmic battle even if I never delved in it

Now my question is, have absolutely no ideas who the guys mentioned above are, can anybody help me out ? I'm thinking of running a post-faction war planescape game and I need info to get started.

I highlighted Estevan's name because this guy I know ( if only barely) from running the introductory adventure path in the Urban Arcana campaign setting ( from d20 Modern). In this adventure path, Estavan is the leader of the Planar Trade Consortium, but since it's D20 modern, all we know is that he's some Uber ogre mage we runs a trade conglomorate that stretches across the planes. On a side note, the adventure is to stop a few of his acolytes from doing a hostile takeover (hilarious considering that these acolytes were in fact an efreet, a vrock, and some other fiend i forgot the name). So anyway, who is this guy really ? all the info I have sums up to a few paragraphs for an adventure.

Thanks in advance...

P.S: Yes, I agree that Planescape+D20 modern= 100% coolness :D :D !!!

First, go to Planewalker and download the Planescape Campaign Setting. All of the people that you've mentioned and their current positions in Sigil are detailed in Chapter Seven, fantastically written by our own resident 'lolth.

Next, if you've got some loose money in your pocket, go to Paizo or RPGNow to download some 2nd edition Planescape material (It's $4 a download or so). You should invest in Faction War, In the Cage: A Guide to Sigil and Uncaged: Faces of Sigil, they all deal with what you've mentioned. Also, it could be mentioned else where, but the Order of the Planes-Militant is primarily detailed in Planes of Law.

Jeremo the Natterer is described in In the Cage: A Guide to Sigil. The Ring-Givers are described in Planes of Chaos. The Daughters of Light appear in Faction War. Shemeshka the Marauder, Estavan, and Zadara are fully detailed in Uncaged: Faces of Sigil.

The Planar Encyclopedia is a good place to start your research: http://www.planewalker.com/encyclopedia/index.php

Most of Sigil's players are mentioned there. The Cutters section on Planewalker has 3.x stats for many of them (you might also want to check out Cage Rattlers on the Mimir).

If you want to run Sigil post-Faction War (although personally I'd recommend playing through the Faction War adventure first to take advantage of all the plot threads that conclude there), make sure you download Chapter 7 of the Planewalker Planescape Campaign Setting.
