#2pauln6Sep 15, 2006 9:08:27 | Great stuff! I love these articles. What are the odds of some unexplained places of mystery being detailed (i.e. locations or towns that have never had any write-ups in published materials and/or are simply names on one of the maps)? |
#3zombiegleemaxSep 15, 2006 9:35:02 | Send me a list and I will see what I can do! Creighton |
#4pauln6Sep 16, 2006 8:54:05 | Hmm - tricky. There are too many options but I think the following settlements either have a lot of potential for development or recent events have made them interesting: Ekbir City (since the LG Ekbir site is in French) The Free city of Exag in Perrenland The City of Glass over Lendore Isle Hokar in the Hold of the Sea Princes (to compliment the article on Berghof) Gorna in Geoff (post liberation) Hochoch (recent history involved a lot of politics) Lopolla (just because it has never been done) Enstad (just because it has never been done) Mitrik (just because it has never been done) Radigast City (just because it has never been done) Spinecastle (just because it has never been done) Vlekstaad (just because it has never been done) Dekspoint (just because it has never been done) Pitchfield (just because it has never been done) Tringlee (just because it has never been done) Dearthkettle Keep in Blackmoor (I just like hags) Bloodcrystal and Onyxgate in Almor (freaky) Gibbering Gate - post Crook of Rao (really freaky) Dungeons and other mysterious places may take a bit longer to track down... |

#6zombiegleemaxSep 18, 2006 4:00:31 | The Free city of Exag in Perrenland This was covered in an apocropha article from the LGG, which you can find over at Canonfire. Spinecastle (just because it has never been done) Covered in one of the Mysterious Places articles in an LGJ. P. |
#7pauln6Sep 18, 2006 6:49:03 | That's why your'e the Man! :D Actually, coincidentally, I stumbled across the Exag stuff last night. It is quite interesting. Darn it though, Spinecastle in an old LGJ article? I managed to get the one with the gazeteer of Zeif and the stuff on the Silent Ones but the others are probably beyond my reach now Was it the Spinecastle in Furyondy or Bone March (I was hoping for information on the latter). What was the usphot? |
#8zombiegleemaxSep 18, 2006 15:39:47 | It's the one in Bone March and it's in...LIVING GREYHAWK Journal [Volume 1, Number 9; Readying 592 CY, March 2002] Included in Dragon 293. So you should be able to get a back issue, if they're not sold out. See here for a not quite complete list of LGJ contents: http://www.canonfire.com/cfhtml/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=3 |
#9pauln6Sep 18, 2006 16:41:12 | Thanks for the intel. I only seem to have issues 15 and 17 from that era. I think I will try to get ahold of that one - and maybe the issues detailing Erehlei-Cinlu! Cheers. |
#10zombiegleemaxOct 20, 2006 22:27:01 | I am running a Greyhawk game (Band of Others) on a free gaming site, http://www.rondaksportal.com/. I am an RPGA GM, but this is not an RPGA sanctioned game. It is set in The Duchy of Almor. The Band is getting close to Onyxgate and I have found some maps, by Googling, for Onyxgate at http://www.onyxgate.com/~brandon/greyhawk/onyxgate.html but I have found very little other material on it. Evidently there were some RPGA adventures in the Nyrond League. I belong to the Yeomanry League. I am writing some detail on Onxygate for my game but from the short description of Onyxgate at http://www.nyrond.org/turbine/page/nyr/gazetteer/almor/ I am afraid it is too high an CR for the party in my game, they're APL 3. I would like to make sure that I am in agreement with any Onyxgate material. Has anyone done anything on it? Hmm - tricky. There are too many options but I think the following settlements either have a lot of potential for development or recent events have made them interesting: |
