He is not general kang anymore, he is governor. His sivak friend's name is Slith and I believe he is the new general of the Armies of Teyr. (Sorry don't have my books with me right now).

on a side note, here's real quick buff to baaz and kapaks that you want to be part of an engineering battalion ...

Baaz/Kapak combat engineer:
1st lvl Expert:

+1d6+con for hp (+4 hp avg)

SQ +1 SR

Saves: +2 will

Skills: Profession (engineer) 7 (-1 wis, +5 ranks, +3 feat)

Feat: Skill focus Prof: engineer

CR +0.

You might be better off using Knowledge (architecture and engineering) instead of Profession (engineer) which does nothing but give you a little cash each week.

Cheers,

good call, I'll update my DL monster stats with that.

edit: speaking of engineering groups, here's an alternate spell list for Bozak Chief engineer ... considering the stats I have for it are as a 4th lvl expert (+4hd drac) I thought these spells would suit for construction and combat.

Spells known: 0th -- detect magic, mage hand, mending, read magic, resistance. 1st --animate rope, magic missle (2 missles), obscuring mist. 2nd -- bull’s strength (+4 str, 4 min)

thought bull's str would be good when you've got to give your team some extra oomph in lifting and obscuring mist could help conceal what your team is doing. Animate rope would help in constructing of projects/heavy weapons.

Obscuring Mist would also mean that the members of a Draconian squad couldn't see each other, or what they're working on, or enemies coming toward them. I'd rather give them another utility spell, like Tenser's Floating Disk.

Tell that to the Sword Knights in "Crown and the Sword" (The: Rise of Solamnia, Volume Two) who utilized their Kingfisher Priests for just that reason - to obuscure the view of the enemy while they assembled their floating bridge. Seemed to work perfectly for them.

well I'd hope that the spell wouldn't be cast on the actual work site ... and that in addition to blocking enemy spies the drac's would put out their own scouts.

It would be hilarious if the tactics used at the crossing of the river in the crown and the sword had been taught to jaymes by kang.

That would make for a great backstory on Jaymes while in hiding after being accused of killing "what's his name" (sorry, can't remember). While in hiding he came across Kang's city and learned a thing or three. Maybe a funny short story for the next "Tales" book. LOL

You are correct, it's pretty close to that. Thanks

Lorimar is his name. Lorrinar is the green dragonlord Fume's real name.
