Am I missing something, or is there a miss print that was left out of the revision?
Signature Spells (Sp): A champion of Rajaat chooses one spell of each level 1st through 9th. These chosen spells become that champion of Rajaat’s signature spells. The champion of Rajaat can channel stored spell energy into signature spells that the champion of Rajaat did not prepare ahead of time The champion of Rajaat can “lose” any prepared spell in order to cast one of these signature spells that is of the same spell level as the prepared spell or lower (just like a cleric can lose prepared spells in order to cast cure spells of the same level or lower.)

I dunno - I don't think that those two entries are referring to the same thing. It's just a coincidence that they're using similar language.

The first entry on signature spells is a cut/paste from the PHB cleric entry on spontaneous spellcasting. The reference there to channelling "stored spell energy" isn't a reference to the Champion ability - it's a reference to spontaneous casting:
A good cleric (or a neutral cleric of a good deity) can channel stored spell energy into healing spells that the cleric did not prepare ahead of time.

The section on storing energy in obsidian orbs isn't talking about the same thing. It might have been clearer if it called it "Life Energy", so that there would be no confusion with stored spell energy, but there doesn't seem to be anything missing as far as I can tell.

One space says that stored energy works only to offset the XP burn for powers and spells, the other says that you can use it for Signature Spells, but then gives no mechanics for how that would work. Just curious as to which way is correct.

They aren't referring to the same kind of thing. However the language is pretty unclear. Signature Spells are actually an idea we brought i from Deities & Demigods, if memory serves, so it tends to use language similar to that book. The energy storing ability is a mechanic we made for the Champions of Rajaat -- it is something that on the surface, seems like it should be a Dragon ability, except that the 2e books state that it actually is the province of the Champions of Rajaat, not them being Dragons.
