Ok darksun traditionally has 3 types of unusal magic
Cerlean(sp?)
Necromatic
Shadow

I plan on using Pact magic for Cerlean, and shadow magic from the same book for shadow. My question is does heros of horror have a 20 level core class necromancer in it or does it just have a really long prestige class. Also If it does have a core class is it a well done one?

Yah, it has a 20-level class called the Dread Necromancer. It's a cool necro class that eventually turns you into a lich. Because the lich is not a regular DS undead, you could rule that it makes you into a unique undead with the same characteristics as a lich (best, easy option imho). Or you could tweak the class to make it transform you into a kaisharga, I guess, but that seems like a lot of hassle to me.

Thanks for the quick reply. I was hoping this would be the case!
