What did you guys think of him? In my opinion, he was far and away the best character Jean Rabe ever came up with. I wish he had a part in the War of Souls, I truly liked him that much.

I thought the way his story ended was handled well too....not gonna spoil anything, i'll leave it at that. Lake of Death was awesome, but not as awesome as the Dhamon Trilogy.

Am I the only one who thinks this?

No, there are other Dhamon fans out there. Brimstone, one of the regular board posters here, is a huge fan.

I thought he was an insufferable jerk most of the time. I don't feel any sympathy for characters like him.

Cheers,
Cam

Oh boy, I misread your post at first- it sounded like you were calling Brimstone an insufferable jerk at first. :D

I really liked Dhamon. You could tell he had alot going on in his mind. He had his own interests, but his moral code often stepped in the middle of the path of his ambitions and urge to protect his own neck. That inner conflict is what I think endeared him so much to me, and made him seem more 'real' as a result. Also ultimately made him a tragic character in the end, another plus.

I too liked Dhamon. Although his story may have ended tragically he does have a son by Riki with a rather interesting birthmark... so perhaps in a few years we may see something interesting with that.

Well, yeah, Brim is one too; that's why he loves Dhamon so much. HAHAHA Of course, Brim knows I'm kidding. He and I actually worked on a submission for the DLCS for Dhamon (although it didn't get used, Jean decided to do an official write-up so we, of course, suck next to her):D .

For a while there, Brim and I were just about the only Dhamon fans on here. I loved the Dhamon Trilogy and think Jean Rabe did GREAT things for DL in the absence of W&H (this is my opinion, and I know it's not shared). There were some things about Dhamon's character I didn't like, but you have to have a love/hate thing going on with some of your favorite things in life. Right?
