While i was re-reading the Winter, Autumn and Spring novels i got to wondering the Gold dragon that was with Fizban, who is he, was he an extension of the god, was he really old and feeble and blind or was it all made up like when Fizban was walking the earth?

I believe that the gold dragon was just a gold dragon chosen to help Fizban out on Krynn.

Pyrite liked to eat oatmeal because he had lost his teeth!

Yeah his name was Pyrite and I'm pretty sure he was as old and feeble as they discribed. I think they mention something about him being around when Huma was doing his thing...

Pyrite, or Fool's Gold as the younger dragons call him, did fight in the Third Dragon War, and had Huma's back. It was not Paladine, just simply a dragon with "Fizban".

I seem to remember something about him being a golden ring Tasselhoff looked at in awe.

when i read through the chronicles trilogy i did notice this. but i think that Pyrite was just a normal dragon that chose to help Fizban (or Paladine). This bieng said the books did say that Pyrite was around in Humas time. Also i think that they said someting about Pyrite being a friend of Humas or something like that. Any way i think that Pyrite was putting up a "act" like Fizban. I say this because at some parts he did lose all of the lazyness and forgetfulness and fought really well. Aslo i think that ,if i rember right, when Pyrite stayed in the dragon ring form, he stayed that way to wacth over Tass for Fizban. Hope i helped.:D

It would be nice if there were adventures of Pyrite and Tas! LOL.
