Granted I haven't finished reading it yet, but a couple things caught my attention:

First, what are the Shadowlands (mentioned in the high-level adventures section of ch. 1)? The phrasing of the sentence implies that it's a type of domain formation and I don't think it's a reference to the Shadowborn cluster. The sentence references "Islands of Terror, Clusters, or Shadowlands" (paraphrased). I'm familiar with domain types as Core, Cluster, Island of Terror, and Pocket (granted the oubliettes described in VRGMists could be considered another type). Any thoughts or insights (especially from the authors).

Second, when did Jack BeQuick become a pocket domain lord (described in ch. 3)? IIRC, Jack was the invisible vampire from COTN: Vampires.

The Shadowlands is generally an "in-game" name for the Shadowborn Cluster. I don't know what else that sentence is referring to.

Dark Tales itself is what upgraded Jack to darklord status.

Darn, I was hoping for a new type of domain formation. As for Jack, I dug out my COTNVampires to look at him and while I can see how he might become a lord, he just never struck me as one. I guess getting a nursery rhyme or short story is a sign that you've made at least demilord status.:D

Thanks for the response.
