Okay, here's something I have wanted to get off my chest for a while.

First of all, I'm glad that they're doing a Lost Chronicles trilogy. I haven't read the first one yet, but I want to. I basically know the premise of the other two (Vol. 2- Laurana's journey to Ice Wall, and Kitiara's first meeting with Soth and Vol. 3- Raistlin's journey between finding out who he is in Palanthas and saving his friends lives in Neraka. That's in case anyone didn't know, but I'm just guessing).

What I really want is a Lost Chronicle Volume 4. I think that this book should be set before Dragons of Summer Flame and feature all of the heroes' children. Then they (Weis and Hickman of course) can jump around like they did in the War of Souls. Here's what I think should be the plot:

GILTHAS-His first couple of months as Speaker of the Sun.
STEEL-His training as a Knight of Takhisis.
MOONSONG, BRIGHTDAWN, and WANDERER-Life in the plains.
TANIN, STURM, and PALIN-Journey to Solamnia, where the elder two become knights (with Uncle Tas in tow, of course!).
USHA-Life on the Irda Isle.

I'd like this because I thought Summer Flame was really good. The only thing I was disappointed with, was that I thought it would have ALL of the Second Generation in it.

Another idea is another trilogy. One more war, featuring the third generation. Ulin, Linsha, Cloudhawk-maybe Gil and the Lioness had an eighth-human child. Mybe they can join up with Moonsong's child (if she has one). I think we should get all these together to fight one last war, like their grandparents did.

Anyway, that's my opinion. Please, anyone, let me know what you think.

Yes maby you are right,
but if ther is coming a war don't let i be the queen of draksness again( normally it can't because she is killed in the War of the souls trilogy)
Maby the war most be about a lost magical item (ex: a ultimet dragonorb that was made in secret)
And I hope take are would be a BIG battle between 2 magi's
I love magic users.

But a new generation of compations would be fun indeed

I forgot to mention another character that could go here. Think about this. The legend of the Brightblade sword is that it will only break if its owner does first. When Sturm died, the blade didn't break, because there was still another Brightblade-Steel. But when Steel died, the sword still didn't break. What if Steel had a brief interlude with a seductive woman, just as his father did, and now there is another Brightblade. Only this time, let's make it a girl.

That quote "The Brightblade will break only if it's wielder does" refers to the Brightblade wielder doing something dishonorable while using the sword (like running or stabbing an unarmed foe in the back with it); not if he/she is the last of the Brightblade line who dies.

Personally what I want to see, is a series of books about Tasslehoff. Here you have a kender that adventured before he arrived in solace, adventured during the War of the Lance, adventured between the Legend of the Twins, and Adventured between Raistlin's Sacrifice and the War of the Souls.

Now we know about the Adventures he had with the innfellows, but everything else (except preludes of course) is an open book. Personally I thought that Tas should eventually become higher level than Raistlin was in his assault on the Dark Queen. I mean has there ever been a kender that was as prominant in Three different wars of Krynn (besides Uncle Trapspringer of course, and I don't think even he was that Famous). I just always felt that Tas got jipped out.

I figured that would be the case. But still, an interesting concept, don't you think?:D

Now, here's a great idea! There are many good trilogies in Dragonlance, but after reading War of Souls, Rise of Solamnia, Elven Trilogy and Dark Disciple...etc. I would really like to see just basic story about good-old-style adventure group trying to save the world or something.

Idea to bring few Offsprings of old heroes there would be great!

my only real problem with the dragonlance world: it all revolves around the /same heroes all the time/. it's always the lance heroes and their ilk running around saving the day. who else was a hero during the war? what else happened? what about spy missions from balifor infiltrating neraka? vice versa? what about some shmuck stuck in the wrong place?
what adventures took place before the return of the gods? there's a whole lot there that's almost entirely untouched.
i want to see untouched people show up without really touching the lance heroes. there was a /whole war/ happening, not just the battles that laurana was leading. who were the other commanders? what about refugee leaders teaching people to protect themselves as they went off in search of some promised land? i think the writing in dragonlance has railroaded which is one reason why so many stories are based on the same thing: 'the dark queen is back... how do we stop her this time?'

Okay, guys, I know I've been on this for a while, but I have just ONE more.

The Palin Chronicles.

Like his uncle, Palin should get two prequels set before the War of Souls trilogy. Alot can happen in thirty years, and it would be nice to have two books starring a character we know and love to help describe it.

They should have a trilogy that involves a group of crazed cultists ressurecting Takhisis and then trying to return her to godhood by means of the Portal at the Tower of High Sorcery at Nightlund. And a group of heroes has to stop her.

Nice! Hypothetical high five!:D That could be a cool plot for the third generation.

Don't you love Palin, Treymordin???
I love all magic-users :D but I respect others there option all so. If we all loved the same things it would be a very boring world.

What's wrong with Palin? I mean, other than the fact that he was a real a-hole for a while in War of Souls, but that was understandable. Palin is a good guy for the most part. So why don't you like him?

"Boo hoo" I am not as powerful as Raistlin, boo hoo. Nothing I do matters, boo hoo, I gave everything for nothing, boo hoo.

Okay, true, Palin was a little whiny. But I think it was because, you know, he had this great and powerful uncle, and here he is living in not only Raistlin's shadow, but Dalamar's as well. Because Dalamar was Raistlin's apprentice, Palin thought that perhaps Dalamar was the favorite, while Dalamar thought Palin was the favorite. Here he was, a novice mage, and he just wanted to be more, but he wasn't fully trained. I think he wanted to be the best, without working for it.

Okay, okay, but he was only whiny in Dragons of Summer Flame. He was only an a-hole in War of Souls.

All right, I concede. But do you at least see where I'm coming from with my reasoning?
