I wasn't ACTUALLY planning to do another one of these, but you guys were awesome last time! I rallied together with another member of our little game studio and we really put our backs into it.

The newest installment of the Ravenloft animations is dubbed "The Arrival," and it features original art, original music, and me trying to act like Christopher Lee as a narrator! Please feel free to use these in your games, claim credit and generally enjoy them.

You can check out the video on YouTube here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5d-BzCOjJk4

(For newcomers) You can also find "The Letter" here:

You can PM me and get a full-size version for your game. We live to serve!

Sweet! The artwork and frenetic music at the start are a good change of pace from the first video, although I did think the title scene (Professional Rogues and Scallywags) was a little out of place. Great work, though, and thanks for putting these vids together!

Now that's dedication for you.

I wouldn't worry about the title scene. That's just our studio!

Very good again

You should also post an announcement on the FoS board, I'm not sure all Ravenlofters come here too.

Are those files very big?

Alruff, thanks for sharing your mini-movies, they are fantastic. They make the campaign background and "story thus far" Powerpoint presentations I'm doing for my Greyhawk/Ravenloft campaign seem rather... primitive (despite having music and a somewhat cinematic feel to them)! Ah, to have the time, software, and knowledge to put together state of the art presentations like yours...

Keep up the great work!

Joël,

Thanks for the compliments! The files (lossless) clock in around 2 gigs, and the components can be quite large as well. Using MPEG-4 or MPEG-2 (DVD) compression knocks them shy of 100megs, so they're available for download if you want.

Hey, man. This is a natural extension of my day job, so don't let it bother you! I think it's awesome that you're doing digital presentation at all!

OK, they are pretty big, even in mpeg. Way too big for us to host!

So I'll post links to the youtube site instead, on the FoS message boards.

Thanks, man! It means a lot that you like them. I'll try to put out more that you can use for your games.

Wow, that was great. I am new to ravenloft and such, and watching both moveis, i mean wow. They are great! Wow! Your voice sounds just like Christopher Lee, thats so funny. I just watched Lord of the Rings recently, and your voice is right on the money. The movie is great! Wow!

It's so cool. As a new ravenloft member, that just blowed my socks off! Wow!

Great once again, even if the music didn't get me this time , the rest was just as sweet!

Great once again, even if the music didn't get me this time , the rest was just as sweet!

Unfortunately, that's the difference between copyrighted music (the first movie) and loop-machine music (the second movie). This time, there was no stock photography, no stolen music. It was all-original, save for the WotC character names. It is something that we strive for at WB&C: creation without crutches.

I will redouble my efforts on the music. Thanks for the compliments!
