I'm running Ship of Horror and only Meredoth remain to be translated. My PCs are at level 11 (four of them, rather strong, but no wizard or cleric (bard, paladin, bararian/shaman/child of the bear (house prestige class), and a monk).

I'm thinking to make Meredoth Wizard (necro specialist)/Frost Mage 10/6.

What do you think ? Not too strong ?

Without knowing any more specifics about characters or location, I'd say too strong. A high-level wizard owns the battlefield.

How well equipped are your characters? How smart are your players? You're at the outer limits of what's going to be tolerable for good players with good characters, but the outer tolerances of the numeric constraints of the game are where I personally believe Ravenloft lives anyway. The game should rely on story, but when you leap into Darklord and Darklord-class fights, they should border on impossibility.
