I was wondering, knowing that there are no drow in the Dragonlance world, just dark elves, how would one actually get drow to be on Ansalon? I thought that there was a thread in this forum, but apparently there isn't anymore.
Can someone give me a hand here on this please?

Although there's a chance I'll be stoned to death and banned from the forums for even mentioning it (:P), there was an old Second Edition AD&D Adventure called "Wild Elves" that had drow in it. Something about a spelljamming ship crashing into a pocket dimension ruled by one of Takhisis rejected handmaids.

It was all pretty crazy.

Thank you. I was hearing something about the Greystone (???) possibly being able to do that. I dunno what that even is.

The greygem was a stone that was infused with the essence of the deity named chaos, who was chaos-energy in its most raw and unshaped form. So yes it is poosible that the greygem could have created drow-like elves. However, if they had been created there is no recorded existence of them in the library of palanthas by Astinus the chronicler. The greygem itself no longer contains the essence of chaos like it once did and therefore would be useless in this regard.

One other possible way to get drow-like elves in kryyn is the fact that there are no more elves taking the path to the dark side..... er, the path of evil and looking for revenge and gathering into the cult of the bloody condor. Should this group inhabit an area that was infused with chaos energy, or quite possibly an area that had been altered by the magic of the dragonlords then drow-like elves may come about, but this would occur some time in the future.

Try looking at this older thread:

http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=739370

It covers most of the drow in DL topic.

I have the module somewhere, I glanced through it when I got it a few years ago and IIRC, the module does not make much sense.
