Anyone have an idea as to when this book is to be released? I had thought it was this past november for some reason, then suddenly I can't find a thing on it or its release date...?
Oh, and the revised bestiary, has that already been released or no?

The paperback of Amber and Iron came out in Nov 06 (which is probably what you were thinking). Hardback of A&I was released in Aug 06, so if all goes on the normal schedule, A&B will probably come out in Aug this year.

No idea on the Beastiary, sorry.

The Bestiary is already available as a PDF on DriveThru. Last I heard from MWP, it should be going to the printers next week, and will be in stores in about a month, more or less.

Cheers,
Cam

The Last I heard from MWP

Who? I think I know, but need someone else to tell me for sure, considering I heard things went south between those two.

Margaret Weis Productions, formerly Sovereign Press. Just the name changed, nothing else.

Thanks, not what I was thinking, I thought maybe she and "he whose name we don't say aloud" might have gotten back together. Glad I was wrong. ;)

Can you explain that? Who's name? If you don't say the name then allude to it.

Actually I got my Hard Cover of Amber & Iron in February 2006 and my Hard Cover of Amber and Ashes in August 2004.

It is my understanding that since her and tracy are working on the lost chronicle series that A&B has been pushed back to 2008 sometime?

srry, that I ask buth can someone of you tell me a little over the story of the 2 books. Because I also would like to read them but I live in Belgium.
The problem in belgium is that there are not a lot of stores here where you can bay the books. I was luck with the trylogy of the war of souls, I got the last one. To bath that the store has been gone.
please can some of you tell me a little more over Amber & Ashes en Amber & Blood.
The only thing I know is that it has something to do with Mina

ok, ok, ok!! not to add more fuel to the fire, but in the last Rise of Soamnia book it says that Amber and Blood would be out in Feb. 2007. Was this a misprint, or just a farce? Does anyone know any REAL info on this?

Howdy fellow belgian!

I had no problem at all getting previous books, but then again not all belgian towns are equal in that regard.

If you can go to (or live in/near) Brussels, try Waterstone (71-75 Bd A. Max). It's an excellent book-shop for english literature.

Failing that, you can try Dédale (138-140 Rue Gérard), a rpg shop, but they usually get novels only once the softcover edition comes out.

Other solutions include
- Amazon (but use Amazon-France, not Amazon-UK, as it's cheaper)
- Leisure Games (google the website, it's easy to find)

Hope this helps

OK, here's the deal, as I've been thinking...

"Amber and Iron" and "Amber and Blood" weren't originally going to be released in hardcover, but I think enough of us complained that since "Amber and Ashes" was hardcover the rest of the series needed to be HC also. So, the Feb 06 release of "A&I" was going to be paperback, but they changed it to the HC release; subsequently moving the PB release to Nov 06.

Generally speaking there is a year lapse between HC releases in WotC series; however (and this is just my opinion), I think the moving around of the formats messed the releases up a bit.

Add to that the fact that MW & TH are working on the Lost Chronicles and that series seems to have taken precedence; and that is why "A&B" has been delayed (MW most likely doesn't have enough time to devote to two huge projects, I guess she needs a few Avatars to do her bidding :D ).

Again, just how I've been thinking about it, I could be totally wrong.

I know for a fact that Margret and Tracy have began another series together so that may be the reason for the delay on A & B.
