Does anyone know what the martial art style practiced by the Scarlet Brotherhood is? Perhaps a discription thereof? Or do you thinkg they have a mishmash of different styles that they use?

thanks much!

None that I can remember. The only indication (if you consider it canon) is drawn from the WG8 Fate of Istus (2e) module where they are described as having adopted the martial arts of the (foreign monastery of the) High Scarlet Order, a monastic order from Kara-Tur (from the 1e Oriental Adventures accessory).

I wish I could be more precise. Sorry.

Wasn't there something about specific martial moves in the SB source book somewhere (the retrofitted 2e monk rules)?

I don't think it was anything as specific as a style of martial art, but it might be a clue (if I haven't just imagined the whole thing).

This site has some pretty cool stuff on the different martial arts styles in Greyhawk. It is non-canon but partially based on the Baklunish Delights articles by ERik Mona. Also they are geared towards 1E mechanics. Still the flavour is great.

The Splintered Mind, Rebels of the Scarlet Brotherhood describes a small group of monks, psions, and rogues who work in secret to derail the plots and plans of the Scarlet Brotherhood. Founded by three former members

The introduction of psionics into the SB is new to 3E though...

Earlier discussion on this topic is here

I think the SB has started to branch out in the techniques they teach in their dojos. I mean, why else do they suddenly have a choice between Stunning Fist and Improved Grapple? ;)
