I am going to go off the original edition for some that remain more or less normal... #12 zombiegleemax Mar 09, 2007 14:14:52	My view is that the more "Normal" amimals on Athas have changed. Imagine a "Normal" animal, and find a new role for it. The Tree slothes are predators. Speculations... Bears are hairless and have a thick hide like an armidillo Squid live in the trees now in the swamps of the forest ridge. I usually shun normal animals in my game. I want Athas to be an almost alien landscape.
#13 Pennarin Mar 09, 2007 16:07:40	Supposedly cats and dogs are present on Athas, but they are resoundingly missing from the novels, supplements, and adventures, instead replaced with kivits and jakhars.
