#1markustay63Feb 27, 2007 23:14:35 | There is a poll at Paizo.com, the company that publishes both Dungeon and Dragon magazines, asking what everyone's favorite setting is. So far, Athas has gotten very little love. ![]() The Link Show 'em what we're made of. ;) |
#2zombiegleemaxFeb 28, 2007 0:28:33 | I voted for homebrew. The best worlds are ones you make yourself. |
#3j0ltFeb 28, 2007 1:02:02 | vote: Nothing that Paizo has screwed up. Personally, I've kinda grown outta D&D now that I've gotten used to d20 Modern's more generic base classes. |
#4jon_oracle_of_athasFeb 28, 2007 12:30:16 | Dark Sun is up to 12%. Keep it going, guys. Who knows what the poll is for... |
#5cnahumckFeb 28, 2007 12:36:10 | Dark Sun is up to 12%. Keep it going, guys. Who knows what the poll is for... Sounds like you might?:P |
#6brun01Feb 28, 2007 12:45:54 | I've mailed the poll to the Brazil lists, so the number ought to go up a little. |
#7elonarcFeb 28, 2007 15:12:56 | A poll for which I would have to create an account - forget it. |
#8SysaneFeb 28, 2007 15:37:06 | A poll for which I would have to create an account - forget it. My thoughts exactly. Its what stopped me from voting. |
#9zombiegleemaxFeb 28, 2007 20:32:33 | I lied. I didn't vote. I just wanted to point of the value of homebrew. |
#10markustay63Mar 01, 2007 2:35:29 | It takes 30 seconds to register. I guess you guys don't love Athas 30 seconds worth, no wonder it's dead. |
#11terminus_vortexaMar 01, 2007 3:16:00 | There's only been like 170 responses total. If most of the people on the DS board voted, we could easily push Dark Sun to the top |
#12elonarcMar 01, 2007 7:19:58 | It takes 30 seconds to register. Oh I am so sorry that I don't. That's why Dark Sun is dead. ![]() |
#13SysaneMar 01, 2007 8:38:11 | There's only been like 170 responses total. If most of the people on the DS board voted, we could easily push Dark Sun to the top For what purpose? I seriously doubt that the top ranked campaign setting is going to get more attention from either Dragon or Dungeon Magazines. |
#14jon_oracle_of_athasMar 01, 2007 13:13:56 | Sounds like you might? No, but I could guess. IsnĀ“t that what oracles do? :P |
#15hunterccMar 01, 2007 13:59:05 | I voted - I already had an account from when I set up my subscription for the dragon mag ![]() |
#16pavekMar 01, 2007 19:48:12 | Even I voted, can't hurt to support your local SK. |
#17j0ltMar 02, 2007 1:59:04 | For what purpose? I seriously doubt that the top ranked campaign setting is going to get more attention from either Dragon or Dungeon Magazines. And even if it did, would we really want that?!? ![]() |
#18terminus_vortexaMar 02, 2007 3:50:36 | I would like that. I use the Dragon Mag Defiling system, and I used their Erudite class as well (Which was decent enough to be revised and included in Complete Psionic!). |
#19j0ltMar 02, 2007 5:28:01 | Three words: Dwarves with beards. :headexplo |
#20terminus_vortexaMar 02, 2007 5:48:48 | Oh, I agree they contaminated a lot of the fluff with absolute crap, but I definitely enjoy the mechanics-type stuff they've come up with. And not just in their attempt at DS 3.5. I use a slightly modified version of Dragon Mag's Mind Mage PrC for almost all characters heading towards an Advanced Being metamorphosis, and they kick the crap out of straight-up wizards and psions on the regular. With Dragon Magazine stuff, I find it's best to just take what you want, and what's actually good, and throw the rest of the magazine in the garbage. |
#21j0ltMar 02, 2007 8:03:20 | True enough. It's kinda like the d20 Modern line. The best part is mostly mechanics, most GM/DMs for Modern come up with their own fluff. |
