Has anyone converted Freedom or any of the other Dark Sun modules to the 3.5 rules. I'm considering running them, but don't want to convert them myself if there are other copies floating about (that are good approximations of the original adventure).

Kalthandrix is leading a project which will convert all the NPCs from the 2ed adventures, including Freedom, using the PHBII format. The project is on hold, since his baby was recently born.

Nathan and Mark did a conversion a while ago http://darksuncentral.multiply.com/notes/item/7

What portions of the adventures other than the NPCs would need to be converted? I'm a bit of a rules junkie, so it shouldn't be too difficult, but I've never run a campaign before and wouldn't want simple conversion errors to ridiculously unbalance the campaign.

the only other thing to convert would be magic items. easy.

one thing you might want to do is look at the releases that athas.org has and flip through the NPC sections. Take what works for you, leave what doesn't. They have some good stuff there that you could use. I do.

I can't find my conversion of Road to Urik, Dragon's Crown, Valley of Dust and Fire, and the adveture between Urik and Crown [escaping me right now]. I'll look for them when i get home. If you would prefer, I can send the files to you [they are in Microsoft's Works Spreedsheet format.

Kalthandrix is leading a project which will convert all the NPCs from the 2ed adventures, including Freedom, using the PHBII format. The project is on hold, since his baby was recently born.
