What do you think about the new Ultroloth miniature (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/mg/un)?

It's kind of bad-looking, but I'm hoping it'll be better in person. The idea that they're making an ultroloth pleases me greatly.

I've never used minis, but I need to get myself a little troop of 'loth minis to decorate the top of my computer monitor now.

So far they've put out ultroloths, canoloths, mezzoloths... have they done a nycaloth yet?

Shemmy, do you know that there's a Ral Partha miniature of Shemeshka & Colcook?

And I've got one ;) However I like Ral Partha's A'kin mini much more.

I was unaware of the canoloth. I've been waiting for an arcanaloth mini, personally.

They made the ultroloth turquoise... why? It looks fine except for that...

(I must say though, the tsucora looks impressive. Some of these do look pretty good.)

Wayne Reynolds picture of the ultroloth from the MotP was a vague gray-green skin tone (which is more pronounced in the original painting), so they probably went with that (the mini is the same pose as that picture as well). Maybe the color formulation couldn't get the exact shade, and they made a compromise. Dunno.

I acquired said mini today. I find it to be not really perfect, but it's decently adequate. Mostly I'm just giddy that I have an ultroloth figure now :D

If I can find individual minis for sale at GenCon this year, I plan on leaving with quite a number of fiends. :D

The pit fiend is pretty cool. I mostly just badger my friends into trading me their various planar figures :D

I actually prefer the Tony DiTerlezzi art in the Planescape Monstrous Compendium Appendix. However, the Ultroloth looks cool, and even a little Cthulhu-esque.

I think that if I was to lay my hands on one, it is one of those minis that would worm itself into the game. It begs to have something neat done with it.

I bought a case yesterday and got both an ultroloth and a canoloth mini. Was very pleased.

The details on the Ultroloth are quite nice. I actually like his paint scheme, the blue green sheen on his head looks very good on mine. And I like the belt of knives and blades he is wearing.

They have not done a nycaloth yet, but I agree one would be very cool. Perhaps they will someday do all the 'loths.
