Hello My Fellow Mystara Fans,

I would like to say that it does my old heart good to see that the Known World is still alive and well on this site and others. I’m sort of new here but not to gaming in general. I started playing with the old Red Box and have been pretty steady since. However somewhere along the way all of my Mystara stuff disappeared. I think that one of the moves during college may have seen them put in the garbage when I wasn’t paying attention. But that is all at least 20 years ago now and no need crying over spilled milk.

I find myself longing for the old days of gaming and that has brought me here. Very recently I was able to make a very good trade for a collection of a few Mystara Gazetteers and now the bug has bitten me again. I was wondering if anyone here had a lead on some of the products. Any websites that doesn’t want at least 50$ for a dog-eared, second hand copy that is. I was shocked when I went out looking for the stuff. I’m no collector, I just want to read them again and introduce my buddies to the wonders of my favorite gaming world. So they will get used rather than just set on a shelf.

That being said I want to ask those of this community if they have any leads on websites that have a reasonable price range for some second hand Mystara materials. When I say reasonable I mean like in the under 10$ range for used Mystara related Gazetteers/Modules. I’m also looking for the old Basic Red/ Expert Blue/ Companion Green/ Master Black/ Immortal Gold Box sets too. Like I said before, I intend to use these books and as such I don’t want a mint condition, still in the shrink wrap, pristine collector edition of them. I do want something that is in useable condition however. So any leads or advice would be greatly appreciated. Heck, if you have something that you wouldn’t mind selling let me know.

Thanks for your time in advance
Jester

I've found the most helpful to be ebay - you can generally pick up the red box for a few dollars / pounds, and a little more for the other boxes. Gazeteers can be a bit more expensive, but still not too bad.

The other option is the PDF's that some places sell - but check the Vaultso f Pandius first for comments on how complete they all are.

If buying a PDF is not a problem, goto....

Two weeks ago I bought B10, Night's Dark Terror and I am very pleased. I can't speak for the Gazetteers though as I haven't bought any. Paizo is a good company that's very customer oriented. If you have a problem with one of their products, they will help you get it fixed.

I buy my old school modules here: The Hit Pointe and here: Noble Knight Games, but I think you could not find something under 10 $

I know how that goes. When I was off at university, my parents chucked out a box containing the Gold Box immortal set, trail maps 1 and 2 (west and east), and a bunch of custom stuff that my brother and I had written. Fortunately I still have our Poor Wizard's Almanacs I and II, along with our old character sheets from the days when treasure flowed like water.
