I just got #353 today and noticed the same thing. I'm especially excited about seeing the Kopru article! A further exploration of the Demogorgon link will also work well in the Mystaran context.

The Totemic Demon slayers sound a bit "Uber" for my tastes, but I will check it out, ready to be pleasantly surprised

Got the issue.

The highlights of the ecology article have already been posted. The history is for Greyhawk but is very generic, basically the kopru had a widespread civilization of city states across the seas until their main source of food began to become scarce due to disease.

No mention of any origins that might include illithids though, and no mention of any wars or conflict with the aboleth.

As for the Totemic Demonslayer, a 10 level prestige class which is devoted to fighting demons. One notable ability in the mid-levels is a dampening field which prevents demons from gating in reinforcements. Also has access to enchanted tatoos that allow them to use abilities tied to a specific creature. Here the rakasta gets another mention, as one tatoo allows a demonslayer to fight with an iron(war) claw attack. Most of the tatoos have a dinosaur namesake.

Dungeon Magazine #145, City of Broken Idols, has a good ending point for DMs who don't want to carry the campaign to the pirate city and the outer planes. The aspect of Demogorgon actually reminds me of a late concept which appeared in one of the last Hollow World supplements...that of Immortal offspring with mortals. Basically NPCs with a few unusual abilities and some sign of their Immortal parent, the aspect in Dungeon #145 could be the result of offspring between Demogorgon and a kopru.

Nice touch by the author to include signs of the X1 village on the plateau in this adventure. One could even change that aspect to keep the village with some people still under subjugation if one wanted to do so.
