what is the mayority´s opinion on David Noonan as game designer?

What do you think of what he has done for DS 3?

Apr 20, 2007 21:26:41 i like most of the stuff i've seen of his. what i DON'T like is how paizo basically took his stuff and dumped it in the toilet, giving us a rotten fragment of what used to be.

All I know of his work is what I saw of the DS stuff in Dragon and Dungeon Magazines. I wasn't too happy with some of it, based on the inconsistencies with established DS canon.

On the other hand, if what he had been doing was not based on existing material, I'd probably think it's good stuff.

The problem with the stuff in Dungeon and Dragon in regards to Dark Sun, is that it is incomplete.. They took roughly 35% of his material, and rehashed it at that (At least, I think we're talking about the same guy). He had an interview on this boards somewhere, or through email that was posted here, and it sounded as though he was rather disgusted with the way they regurtitated his work to suit their own needs, instead of keeping it as he wrote it.. But you know, when you are under contracts, publishers have every right to do that and you can't do jack.
