This is the first of the Norwegian-language modules by Johannes Berg. I decided to start a separate thread for it since the other thread is mostly about NM2.

The suggested location of the module is "a mountainous region in Karameikos". The module supplies some generic geopraphic names, but states that these could be replaced as the DM wishes. Some of these like the Shadow Mountains and the Blue River could IMO be local names.

My more specific suggested location for the module is the village Verge and the moutains just north of it, south of the Hutaaka Valley.

The module describes an old legend of an Ogre Chieftain named Shurgnug, who gained dominion over Ogres, Gnolls and other humanoids in the area and demanded tribute from those who lived near the mountain. Now rumours exist that Shugurgh has returned to life. The Cleric order of the Silver Star have sent agents to investigate, but these have not returned.

In reality, a magic user named Garimmon and an evil priestess named Shatzal have taken control over the humanoids in the mountains (including a tribe of scorpion men) and are working on a ritual to bring the old Ogre Chieftain back to life.

The module introduces "new monsters", but these arent actually new, just not printed in Norwegian anywhere else.

A relatively unproblematic module to place within Mystara I guess.

One question that arises is the Order of the Silver Star. Are they part of the Church of Karameikos or the Church of Traldara? Should the name simply be replaced by those names or could this be a semi-independent order like the Cult of Halav and the Order of the Griffon?

a magic user named Garimmon and an evil priestess named Shatzal

And where are these two from? Garimmon sounds like an Alphatian name (being him a magic user it is easy to immagine him from Alphatia).
Shatzal could be a name from Ylaruam (it is really near "a mountainous region in Karameikos").
But it could also be a Hulean name!

How did an Alphatian mage and an Hulean priestess come together in "a mountainous region in Karameikos" to rise a nearly-forgotten Ogre chieftain?

Good questions! I'm up for most theories here. I still think the starting village (un-named) should be Verge though, given the shape of the mountains region involved.

BTW, since the module was published in 1990 I assume it is set in AC1000.
